Little Tikes Cozy Truck Ride-On with removable floorboard

> 3 dayWe bought this for our grandson’s first birthday. We already have the Little Tikes cozy coupe at our house and he loves being pushed around in it. Personally I would say you could buy this for any child 10 months+ to be pushed until they are strong enough to “peddle” it themselves with the floorboard removed. First off I have to say that my husband is exceptional at assembling things. If Id have been assembling it I wouldn’t be writing this review yet! Once he had read the instructions it took him a good hour to put everything together. Nice sturdy truck just like so many of the other toys this company makes. On the down side - the door was ill-fitting and doesn’t line up exactly to latch unless you really push down hard on the door (we are leaving that to our son to sort out after the birthday party!) and the decals that come with this don’t match the ones in the video on this page or the ones you can buy here on Amazon for $12.99 - search The Toy Restore Replacement Decals Fits Little Times Truck, nor do the instructions for the decals jive with the numbers on the decal sheets.

> 3 dayWe got this for our son for his 1st birthday. It’s awesome. He’ll use it for years I’m sure. Everyone that has seen it comments how cool it has the floor for him now and that we can remove it when he gets older. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!

> 3 dayI need to take a break from building this thing... it’s a major pain. I finally got to the steering wheel and IT WONT GO IN I’m ready to throw it out the window. Or contemplating just not putting it on........ even though that’s the one part that makes sound. It’s literally the last step and it’s taken me the longest to do! On trial number 263926402 to get it in. The quality of the assembly sucks. I’d pay a little extra to have it shipped assembled even....... and I’m an engineer! I build things all the time. But this one sucks. It’s a shame because the truck itself is cute and I know these last a long time once assembled usually but I’m not confident in this one. Oh and step 1..... I put the door lock on. It definitely doesn’t work. Luckily my kid is old enough to not throw himself out the side door. Other cozy coupes and vehicles I’ve had the lock work just fine but for this one the door seems off a bit. The lock doesn’t catch the other side to latch. Overall I’m frustrated with this toy. I know if I ever get the stinking steering wheel in my kid will love it..... right now it’s just a big piece of plastic with wheels and cute stickers. Without that steering wheel I know my kid will be bummed.

> 3 dayAssembling this product was overall easy, however there was a step that asked us to slide one piece into the slots of another piece but there was no slot. My husband had to drill an opening for the first piece to fit into. Product control failed big time that day.

> 3 dayVery sturdy, my grandson can sit in the bed of his truck and it does not tip. Had some issues with assembly but husband to the rescue.

> 3 daySo as mentioned by others roof is tricky to put together. I tried following the directions twice. One of the rear supports went in fine the other wouldnt line up, and left a gap. I took everything apart and tried a different approach, which I found to work better. Lay the roof on its top and insert the rear roof supports, once they are in place and the seams and edges line up correctly secure them in place with the screws provided. Now go back and follow the steps to attach the roof to the front cab supports, the rear supports should be flexible enough to slide inside the cab area. If the front supports dont lock into place right away they will when you lift, the rear supports into place. After doing this everything should be lined up properly. Also put as many stickers as you can on before assembly begins, its a lot easier to put the grill stickers on when the grill is laying flat on the kitchen table. As others have said there are some holes that are not predrilled, but in an age where a cordless drill is $30 what is your excuse for not having one? Overall I found this easy to assemble, and my son should get years of fun out of it. I have tried to make it a bit more real by not installing the eyes or the mouth sticker in the grill. A quick trip to the junk yard scored me a 2003 Ram hood badge and two HEMI fender badges which with some automotive molding tape should make it a proper first truck. I found those fit best as a set, though Im sure a blue oval or bowtie will fit on the grill as well. Finally this is a Christmas present, I gave me son the box, today a month early. He isnt two yet and therefore doesnt realize what the box means for him. This way he has a month of box time, and on Christmas morning you wont have to watch your child play with the box instead of the toy. I recommend this to all!
