MagLite - ST3D016 Maglite LED 3-Cell D Flashlight, Black

Ive been using MagLite for over 40 years. This is the brightest yet. (I used to use 6 cell lights when I needed good light). Cant recommend this version enough.

I got this to replace one that the batteries ruined. It seems better than the one I had before.

Good maglite. The LEDs are a big step up from the older halogen type of bulb. LED takes it from a yellow light to a more bluish/whiter lite. And the range seems a bit further. As for the rest of it, the big news is this color. Otherwise, its like the normal black maglite you see. Ive never seen the red before, its what caught my eye. I dont know the color process of how they make it, but the red isnt scratching off, so its not painted on top. The red is definitely more part of the metal.

Ive been a MagLite user for years and have many of the traditional models (with the regular bulbs). This is my first LED version and I was a bit hesitant based on some of the reviews -- but Im glad I purchased it. Besides the sturdy construction Ive come to expect from MagLite, the LED bulb is just as bright and can still be adjusted by twisting the lens. Very happy with this purchase.

To remove the black spot in the middle, you have to twist the top most cap. Its a great flashlight!

The same Maglite my parents bought over 15 years ago is still in good condition and works perfectly! Thats what inspired me to buy this flashlight. Works perfect and is really bright!

for $25 i dont understand why this thing isnt standard issue for living. i love this thing.
