Ive followed this series since I was a kid. I spent many hours on Super Mario Kart on the SNES, and many more on the N64 edition. Mario Kart 8 builds on the excellent Wii effort, and delivers arguably the finest game in the series. Quite the achievement! I think its fair to state the main attraction here is the multi-player. The online mode is thrilling (if infuriatingly unfair - as any Mario Kart stalwart knows), and the tournament/free play options add an incredible longevity to this title. Its one which youll still be playing in five years, presumably until Mario Kart 9 on the Wii Z. This is the real joy of Nintendos exclusives - they pack so much in its impossible not to be charmed. Dont miss out - this is one of the best games of 2014.

A fantastic addition to the Mario Kart franchise and an essential for any Wii U owner. This game is gorgeous and runs really well (especially for a Wii U game) I feel like the Koopalings as new characters are a bit lazy, but thats all right because all of my favourite characters are already there. I love every track which is rare for a Mario Kart game. They screwed up Battle Mode which sucks but personally I never really played it anyway. I really do recommend this game, its not a game to buy a system for, but it certainly is a great game.

A must have for all Wii U owners. The new features are a little underwhelming, but still add a little bit of fun.
