They are easy to install and I think they look better than the canned version. Very affordable for what you get.

Ive installed the old fashioned can lights and I am now really tired of the openess of the cans where I am constantly wiping out cobwebs and dust. I love the thinness and look of these where they blend into a white ceiling when off. I am installing these in my main and second bathroom remodels, and the color settings that I can set for a specific use, i.e. vanity lighting, toilet area, etc. are really a plus. If I decide I dont light the light color, I can change this on a step stool by pulling the light from the ceiling and reseting the switch. Very happy with them!

After installing the Meconard 4 Inch 5CCT LED Canless Recessed Lighting with Night Light in the upstairs rooms where my grandkids stay, Ive had a little time to evaluate their performance, and I must say, Im very impressed. Performance The 5CCT color temperature option is a standout feature. With the option to select from 2700K up to 5000K, Ive been able to customize the lighting to suit the mood and decor of each room. The warmer tones are great for creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere, while the cooler ones are perfect for providing a clear and bright light when the kids are playing or studying. Installation Installation was surprisingly straightforward. The canless design saved me the trouble of having to purchase and install separate cans. Wiring was simple as well with the provided junction box, and the fact that the lights are IC rated gave me peace of mind knowing theyre safe to be in contact with insulation. Aesthetics These lights look modern and sleek. The recessed design gives the rooms a clean, streamlined look. But what really sets these lights apart is the nightlight feature. The soft amber glow on the trim of the downlight adds a warm, inviting ambiance to the rooms. Its visually pleasing and makes the rooms feel extra cozy. We wanted to upgrade a guest suite and installing these lights gave it the additional wow factor we wanted. The halo night lights are very, very cool, all without needing an app. We are no handy with electrical stuff, so we had an electrician install them for us. Electrician had no issues with them. One thing we noticed is that especially with the halo night light effect, any flaws or dirt even, in your ceiling seem that much more glaring. Luckily, the room where these went into just go scraped and painted top to bottom. All in all very nice set of lights. Well see about installing them in other parts of the house.

Bright led lights, cool features, easy to install, works great no issues

These are very nice looking, slim profile “panel” type led lights. They are the flush mount can-less style, with an exposed flat flange ring of less than an 1/8 inch thick. The cutout hole is 6-1/8” diameter, and the trim covers a diameter of approximately 6-5/8. I was replacing an existing 6” led panel light and found that this particular light had a slightly smaller diameter, so if you are doing a retrofit, you may want to check the size of your existing opening against these measurements. Installation is very straight forward. These are meant to be installed in ceilings or walls with enough interior space to fit the included 4” x 2-3/4” x 1-3/8” metal junction/control box and a shorth length of cable; directly wired to a switched light circuit. The provided J-box opens up with a little swing type door which was easy to open by hand, and snaps snugly closed after you make the wiring connections to your light circuit. There are 3 knock-outs which have slots for a screwdriver, but I was able to simply bend and break it off by hand. You will need to provide your own a push-in plastic strain relief to protect the wires coming into the J-box. In the back of the box there are 2 “teardrop” mounting holes for attachment to your ceiling joist if required by your local codes. Each of the internal ground, hot and neutral wires are already attached to their own 4 conductor push-in wire connector, ready to connect to your house wiring. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the existing braided wires were pre-tinned before they were inserted into the connectors at the factory; which I thought was a good indication of the quality of this product. The light panel is cabled to the J-box with a 22 awg PVC coated cable which has an overall length 14”, secured to the light housing with a plastic strain relief clamp, reducing the length to 12”. The quick disconnect plug is located in the middle of the cable, and is keyed internally with a small tab, as well as indicator arrows on the connector to ensure that it is plugged in correctly. It also has a plastic screw-on ring to keep the connector from pulling apart, and it’s easily disassembled for swap-out. The light fixture itself has a nice clean bright white matte finish on the bezel, and the panel face looks to be a textured thick plastic with a slight off-white color. The specs indicate that these consume 12 watts, are dimmable and suitable for damp locations (not direct contact with water, though). Operationally, the light energizes almost instantly with a barely imperceptible delay, and has a slight afterglow which fades quickly when switched off. The light color temperature is switchable from soft white, bright white or daylight (3000/4000/5000K). The color selection slider switch is located on the metal control/junction box, so keep accessibility in mind when installing it. My test installation only involved one led light out of the 12 that I obtained; however, I plan to install 8 more when I complete our kitchen upgrade shortly. I will update my review if I observe any inconsistencies in the operation or quality of the remaining lights in this set, however currently I am very impressed with the quality of this product.

Using these to refresh my kitchen and lose the old fluorescent lights. Pricewise these are a great deal and they perform perfectly. These little gems seem to be of very good quality and provide the ability to change the color temperature. They are comparably bright to almost all 4 lights I have used and come well packaged and ready to install in new or retro situations. I am very happy with them.

Build Quality: I was impressed with the build quality for the price. The lights were pretty rigid. the plastic finish and translucent diffuser were all perfect with no scratches. The electrical box was of good quality. and closed well. Installation / size and trim tolerance.. Installation is straight forward and pretty simple for these types of lights. They fit my existing ~6 hole but I did notice the diameter was slightly larger than 6 as some of the screws have a bit of an extension (see 7th picture) and there isnt much of a Lip to cover the hole difference. In short you will need to have a very tight tolerance on your holes. If you use these light I suggest removing the clips from one of the lights, cutting a 5 and 3/4 , then lightly rasp the drywall and the fit should be about right. Brightness vs Color Temp: The lights look good and equally bright regardless of the color temp. Extend your life: The light has 2 sets of LEDS: 3000k and 5000k. I recommend going with the mid color (4000K) which will use both the 3000k and 5000k LEDs for the longest life of the fixture. (the LEDs are driven half as hard as a strictly 3000k or strictly 5000k setting) Final thoughts: These are good lights that I recommend.

The lights are extremely nice and they are very easy to install all you do is cut a hole and wire it up and slap it in the hole! I recommend getting it professionally installed if you have never worked with electricity before or if youre uncomfortable doing so but if you are a DIY person then you should have no problem handling this project on your own. I recommend picking up a chalk line so you can drill or cut your holes in a very straight line without too much measuring and of course I recommend a tape measure as well to evenly space them apart. The colors are nice and nicely diffused and have very nice brightness to them but the night lights are absolutely game changers! Theres nothing worse than throwing off your sleep pattern and plummeting your melatonin production over the lack of good lighting and these flush mount lights will completely solve that issue with their night lights! Just simply switch to the night lights about 4 hours before bed and I promise you your sleep quality will improve drastically! 5 stars.

Easy to install, almost invisible, and as bright as you need. I installed six in my living room around the perimeter on one circuit and a pair to highlight the fireplace/hearth on another circuit (both have dimmer switches).
