> 24 hourIve had this product for just over one year. I had to reconfigure my Apple HomeKit network and this plug needed to be reset. Unfortunately the QR code had worn off and I threw away the original box. I contacted Meross and Rosé took care of everything. I got the correct setup code and even a new image of the QR code to store in case this happens again. Overall, a great product and fantastic service!

> 24 hourI bought this a year ago for use with HomeKit (Siri) for backyard lights. It isnt perfect, but it earns the fifth star: The bad: Setting up took a few tries, and maybe twice in a year, HomeKit required me to re-pair the device for reasons unknown. Requires you to turn off 5GHz, if you have it, to set up (2.4GHz only). Also, you may have to try a couple different names for the device and the separate outlets if you want to be able to control each plug separately while retaining the ability to turn them both on and off as a single device (e.g. front yard, back yard, whole yard). The good: Does the job. Switches on and off very quickly. Wifi works fine once its set up. If it requires re-pairing, the process isnt difficult. The button on the device works reliably even before its set up. Waterproofing has been reliable for a year, even through pretty heavy storms. The best: a week ago, I had to re-pair it and discovered that I hadnt written down the HomeKit code, and the sticker that had it printed on had come off. So I wrote in to Meross through their support page with a couple pieces of info (the devices default WiFi network name and its MAC address, both available from my Eero router control app), and they got back to me in a day with the HomeKit code for re-pairing (along with an apology for taking so long). I was very pleasantly surprised with that kind of high-quality customer support.

> 24 hourLoved the ease of setting up and using. Apple HomeKit setup was a snap, took about 10 seconds after scanning the image... I have my Meross app, went in there, device was listed and just had to select “Add” and was immediately available with Alexa (tied my Meross account to Alexa). Good WiFi range and is extremely responsive. Would’ve been nice to have the option of setting up in the Meross app without needing to use Apple HomeKit first on iOS devices, but was super easy and had no issues. Says Waterproof, but I don’t deem IP44 waterproof. Nevertheless it so far hasn’t had any issues being outdoors. App isn’t the prettiest, but works consistently and reliably, so no complaints. Great value and highly recommend the outdoor plug and Meross in general.

> 24 hourSpent 1 hour trying to set it up with homekit. I setup tons of other homekit devices but this just doesn’t work. Also after reading about other users having to block the outgoing traffic either their routers (to Chinese server probably since it’s a Chinese company), I decided to go with another company. If you use their app, they also force you to login as signup (which is super shady and annoying). Don’t waste your time with this one .

> 24 hourI just wanted it to work in coordination with my iPad, I could not achieve that you need some kind of a linking home device to fully set this up. I gave up, sent it back.

> 24 hourI utilized this with Apples HomeKit software and for the most part it works exactly as advertised. Setup is easy and HK controls it very well. Since I had my Christmas lights hooked up to it I was able to have them come on at sundown and turn off at midnight. My only frustration was I had to reset it once due to some network issues and the support site for Meross is rather poorly designed. So took a bit of googling on my part to figure out how to reset the device.

> 24 hourWeve used it to control all of our outdoor Christmas lights by using cheap, non-smart power stakes. I have zero complaints about the hardware. Setup is easy, especially if youve used any other Meross device. The app allows for device schedules based on sunrise/sunset. Creating scenes is the easiest way to turn multiple devices on/off. For instance, our Christmas setup is accomplished by setting each device to turn on at sunset, with a scene (with all devices off) set to run late at night.

> 24 hourThis is a sturdy, easy to use unit with reliable Alexa integration. Even though it’s only rated for 10 amps or 1250 watts, it uses a higher grade, weather resistant 14 AWG electrical cable rated as SJTW, 105C. The outlets are plugged with thick rubber caps that look like they’ll hold up well. Setup is simple, thanks to well written instructions and a good app. There’s a separate set of instructions for the Homekit users too. It has a handy notch to mount the outlet to the wall (though I wish this was offset so that the screw would be accessible). There’s also a little loop on the strain relief that can serve a similar purpose. The app is great. It does a good job of guiding the setup process and it seems to be written by someone who understands English like a native speaker. Once set up, the app has a couple features that are sometimes overlooked: a countdown timer so that the outlet will automatically turn off after X minutes and an option to turn off the LEDS. Plus, there’s a widget to control devices directly from the homescreen. Also, it has one essential feature that every manufacturer ought to have: a direct link to the manual. Alexa integration works flawlessly and the wifi range seems good. Alexa commands are carried out reliably and with no more than a couple seconds delay. Alexa routines also work well. Each plug can be named and addressed independently. The unit as a whole can also be named. (Hint: use names that sounds distinctly different.) Right now I have the unit about 150’ from an access point, going through half a dozen walls, in a RF congested area and I’ve had zero issues.
