> 3 dayI have about 3-4 brands of smart outlets and this is the only one that trips my GCFI outlet (inside a powered shed). When triggered via HomeKit it immediately trips the GCFI circuit whether a load is plugged into it or not. Works get on non-GCFI outlets though.

10-06-2025First of all, these work great and Id certainly buy again. I got them because I have a few in-wall Meross dimmer switches, and figured why install another app! I ran into an issue during setup, but found a solution and wanted to make people aware here: I was able to add the switch in homekit and have it respond, but as soon as I tried to add it in the Meross app, it would restart, and not reconnect to Wifi (the light would just blink and blink). The solution? Be really patient! After resetting and restarting a bunch of times, I finally just paired with homekit, added in Meross, and WAITED. It sat there for over an hour blinking, then finally connected, appeared in the Meross app, and was able to install firmware updates. No further issues. TL;DR -- just let it sit!

> 3 dayI have all apple devices, so I wanted something that I could set up for my room a/c unit and a couple of other devices. This thing is crazy easy to set up. Scan the QR code in HomeKit, and youre good to go. It takes a bit of time for the thing to sync up right, but once it does, youre good. Ive had this going for quite a while now, and theyre working perfectly.

> 3 dayEasy to set up with the Apple Home app, does not need the Meross app. I’m careful about data leaking out so I won’t allow a manufacturer app for setup or operation. But these smart plugs work just fine with Apple’s Home app for setup and Siri for commands.

Greater than one weekI purchased these for the HomeKit integration, as Im sure most do. However, for a variety of reasons, Ive decided not to use HomeKit. The principle integration is with Alexa. All good, worked perfectly to control a fan. Then - one day - it simply stopped responding to Alexa. Ive done as much troubleshooting as Im able to, Ive removed the Meross app, reconnected it to Alexa, removed then found the device again, and I cannot get Alexa to work with it. Let me be more accurate: it works with the Alexa app (as it does with the Meross app), but verbal commands to Alexa simply cannot control this plug. I have Amazon and WeMo plugs that are responsive, so Im at a loss - and frustrated.

Greater than one weekWhen it comes to cost and quality, these hit both. Setup was easy, it reacts really quick over HomeKit. Just wish it was a little smaller and closer to the wall.

> 3 dayI have several Meross Products and this is the first one I have bought which was on IOS.. The product itself is small, easy to use and works very nicely with Siri ( Siri responses are way too better than Alexa or Ok google ).. Things I think can be improved - Installation instructions ask you to start with Home app, which is incorrect, it did not work with it, I had to start with the meross app, and it guided me correctly. Rest was pretty straight forward. Works with Alexa and Ok Google .. although switching off / on using Apple watch is way too cool ( atelast for me ) The switch easily fits with one plug point and works as expected.. Other thing which is good to note is that you cannot control this outside your network, unless you have a IOS hub, which you can use your apple tv or a dedicated hub ( i have the TV, so no problems on that ) and I have not have to use it at the moment, so I think I am okay on that .. Plan to do a video install review later .. Cheers !!

Greater than one weekIf you want to use Apple Home without having to go to another proprietary app, this is a good choice. Ive replaced other units that did not have Apple Home native support. The only thing preventing this from getting 5 stars is that occasionally, these lose their connection to the router for no apparent reason. I dont think it is the router because it only happens with on 1 of 5 installed units. Ive switched them around, and always have a problem with the same unit. I can restore the connection by rebooting the router, but that shouldnt be necessary. My experience - limited to be sure - suggests that 1 of 5 units could have this issue.
