Thats what a mora is excellent!!! I have more knives than I know what to do with but that doesnt keep me from buying more. Especially when they are QUALITY knives for a good price. Ok Ive got about 2 of every mora knife. The thin carbon versions will get so sharp that you can just about fillet a hair with it. The thick carbon ones will get scary sharp too but are not great at detail work. The thin and thick stainless ones will get about as sharp as the carbon ones. The real gem to me is this version , the medium width 2mm stainless one. I Have every color of this one times two. Yes even the pink ones (wife and daughter ) they are tough as hell and easy to sharpen. I have used the OD green and black every day for about 2 years now and Ive cut everything from paper to metal and all things in between and it keeps on standing up to the abuse like ( is that all you got ?) and I just took the family to the beach and kept this used and abused stainless mora in my shorts pocket submerged for six days, in case I had to bite a shark back. All I did was rinse it in fresh water at the end of day and no rust just a slight discoloration on the made in Sweden blade etch. So tough is an understatement. There cannot be a better knife for the price out there. There might be some as good but not better period. Pick one or pick 5 they are all great knives. But IMHO this is the best of the Mora knives. I have seen some reviews that say there not impressed or happy with their purchase. Well first off if it came dull which a few of mine did you have to sharpen a scandi blade different than a conventional blade then if you still dont like it and want to give it away call me 3343194600 and Ill pay the shipping to give it a new home.

Solid construction and came with a razor sharp factory edge. Trust me, I tested it by shaving and it took care of a couple days worth of growth like a breeze. Hesitant to really abuse it like my ESSE 4 but that is more due to this not being full tang. Despite that this feels like a solidly constructed knife and will probably become my gutting knife.

Love these things

This knife is a workhorse. I got it in the mail right on time and loved it so much I got a second the next day as a gift for my dad. I used it while kayaking and it was perfect. Some people dont like pointed knifes while kayaking but I do. The rubber grip holds great. The sheath is perfect and holds the knife in very secure. The sheath also a ribbed thumb bump that helps release the knife in one fluid motion, which is something I didnt know till i got it. The belt clip has a lip at the end that makes it incredibly secure. Dollar for dollar this is the best value knife i have ever owned. If i lost it i would get another. The steel is a little soft but that makes sharpening it that much easier.

This knife is a great value for the price < 15.00 us. The handle is well made, contour fits average size hand well. The blade is well integrated with the handle (molded in). The blade comes with a decent sharp edge & has an appropriate thickness to width ratio(not flexible like a steak Knife). I am confident this knife could be used to dress all types of game in the U.S. up to & including White-tail deer. Long term sharpening requirements NOT known yet. The sheath is well made also, the knife is positively retained in the sheath. The sheath has a flare at the top that surrounds the hilt area with an integral serrated thumb area for leverage when you are withdrawing the knife. The sheath also has a great integrated clip that will keep the knife where you want it. I have recently purchased five of these knives and each one is exactly the same quality.

The knife is flawless and sharp. Yes there is a micro bevel but I think thats proper for a general purpose knife since it makes the edge stronger. Highly recommend this knife and this brand in general.

its no survival knife its not made to carve and whittle with it. As a backpack knife its perfect i use it to cut fish and meat with. i do not use it for heavy cutting.

Amazing price for a very well designed and executed knife. Excellent choice unless you have money to burn, have a pretentious need to show off or, are a wanabe knife fighting hero. By the way hero, you can get hurt. Bonus, it is not chinese. Nothing wrong with the sheath if you use it properly and if you dont need a fast draw. Thankyou Morakniv!
