Muc Off Dry Lube (50-ml)

I like how the fluid came out of bottle, not too much and not too little. After cleaning and degreaseing the chain and drivetrain on my Trek bike, I let it dry out and applied the dry lube, worked great and my bike couldnt be happier. Seems like this bottle will last for 2 riding seasons, maybe more?

Smells good and yes, I feel it is a great lube.

This is only an initial review, since I havent even taken a ride yet since lubing my chain with this stuff but these are my first impressions. After washing my bike and chain, I proceded to lube the chain according to my experience, which is contrary to the instructions, which mention lubing every part of the chain, when in actuality, all you need to lube are the rollers from the top of the chain. Anyway, after finishing and wiping off the excess, I noticed something special right away. I have never gotten my chain spotless after de-greasing, and after lubing with another brand of lube, I would always get more grit and dirt on the cloth I used to wipe off the excess immediately, but with this product, that wasnt the case. Its quite viscous but only more so than the watery lube I would use before. I only dabbed a drop for each roller in my chain and made sure to get each one and rotate the chain and cassette. But while I held the cloth under the chain to get the excess off, all I got was lube and no extra dirt. This shows me what its like to deal with a quality product and although Muc-Off is everywhere you deal with cycling, theyve seemed to have earned their reputation. And while $10 seems like a lot for a bottle of lube, the amount I actually used was minuscule and this will last a good long while. The opaque bottle will even keep light from getting in and drying out the lube, which has happened to me in the past with the other brand I have used in the past. But no more. Muc-Off has won themselves another customer and I cant wait to try out more of their products. Best thing about this lube is the scent. They didnt have to add any scent to this lube and it still would have been great, but details like these make me smile. Give this a try, you wont be disappointed!

Just did some first time maintenance on my girlfriends bike and opened up the chain lube for the first time and I got to say I love it. She has an Electra bike so its purple and covered in flowers and now it smells amazing. You can smell it while you ride and it really just makes the world better. I dont know if its the fumes but I wish I could make an air freshener out of it. Anyways! It applied easily, penetrated nicely, and cleaned up without to much issue at all.

Definitely does the job. I apply every 2-3 rides depending on how dusty it is. When I get back from a ride, clean the chain and apply the lube. Before I go for the next ride Ill wipe the chain down. I ride a lot of dusty and sometimes sandy areas. Its worked well so far.

This is my first time using Muc Offs lube, but I like their other products so hopefully it works as well. It seems a little thin and smells like tanning lotion. So far so good.

By far my favorite chain lube. It is a bit more involved, because you have to degrease the chain before the first application. However, after that it is wonderful. I quickly wipe the chain after a ride, and re-apply every 3-4 rides under normal use on a road bike, 2-3 for a mountain bike. I also use this on my cyclocross bike. In dry and sandy races, this really cant be beat. It keeps the chain clean and free of grit in a way that oil/wax based lubricants just cant. Also, because the lubricant dries and you wipe away the excess, you finish with a shinny clean chain, not an ugly greasy mess. This helps keep the drive train running and shifting quietly and smoothly. This lube does a good job for a single rain-day ride. However, it doesnt rain that much where I live, so if you live in an environment with day-after-day rain, I cant say how well this will work for you.

Goldilocks lube. Not so thin like rock n roll that barely lasts a ride, or as thick as triflow.
