> 3 dayNeat company has some serious haters or competitors are writing bad reviews for them, I hope last is not a case as wouldnt be ethical for anybody to do that, so Ill give you guys my experiance with Neat products as I tried them all I think, OK maybe not all but I tried 3 different models. So here you go. I have been running paperless office for at least last 5 years. We have been scanning everything and I have in-depth knowledge and understanding of this scanners. It all started with a NeatReceipts scanner that we started scanning receipts for tax purposes. Not long after we realized that NeatReceipts scanner is way to slow and moved to NeatDesk. We started using NeatWorks back then on a PC and it was OK process not the best but we ware OK with it, then couple years later we switched all office to Mac environment and had to re-license NeatWorks for Macs, that was relatively easy process but I wanted to talk to someone at Neat to make sure that years of data we entered will be easily transferred. At that time I was for a first time faceing Neat customer support. I wasnt able to get much of the phone support but I was provided with excellent email support. Not ideal as talking to somebody over the phone is always more encouraging. In any case there was a little bit of learning curve on the Mac version but we realized that NeatWorks for Mac was scanning and OCR processing much much quicker then PC version, so we fell in love with it quickly. Then year or so ago they came up with NeatCloud and we thought that would be a good idea as would eliminate a need from us to keep making backups and worrying of storing it offsite. NeatCloud actual works pretty good as you can email receipts to it or any other documents you want to keep digital copies of for archiving. So we are VERY happy with it and cant really imagine keeping truck of all expenses without it. Last and a half we also connected couple Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 to NeatCloud and that has been working great but we found that Fujitsu are not build to last, yes they ware little bit faster then older NeatWorks but they pretty much died in little less then 2 years. So we now are switching back to Neat and found this new NeatConnect. Typically I would prefer regular scanner hat is simply connected to computer and without touch screen etc But let me tell you this was a refreshing surprise. It works seamlessly with NeatCloud without being connected to computer, fast and easy. Now I like this idea as I can simply scan receipts in bundles and then process them in NeatCloud on my leisure as all of them are going to be waiting in a INBOX folder for further processing. I like this a lot as its much faster and fits my workflow much better. Now the touchscreen is not really a smartphone quality but is decant, it dose a job, I wish soft keyboard for emailing the scan that pops up on the bottom of the screen (same as would on a smartphone) is little bit larger as I find it difficult to type, but again its doable, not perfect but dose a job. All in all, this is a great scanner so far, I hope that lasts longer then Fujitsu scanners, that all Im asking for. The old NeatWorks lasted quite a few years so as long as its that kind of quality or better, Im a happy camper. I know there are people out there that are happy with Fujitsu and if you are looking at reviews you will find much better reviews at Fujitsu iX500, I liked that scanners while they work, but again I found them defaulting on us often and thats not cool. Also software that comes with Fujitsu is bad, when we purchased it didnt even have mac version of archiving software, I havent looked since to see if they developed mac software but we ware pretty invested in to NeatCloud with all the time and years of scanned we are storing there that I really do not looking forward to moving to anything else. Summary: I like this new NeatConnect scanner, in whole honesty I cant imagine doing receipt tracking for bookkepping purposes any other way so its surprising to me to see people not happy with it and these bad reviews I cant justify as fair. Oh one more piece of info, I run 2 busy businesses, so data archiving I was mentioned is for both businesses and also my personal expenses. Hope this helps.

> 3 dayBought it in January 2014. Immediately got it connected to Neats cloud and my Dropbox but not my email. Each time I tried to connect to my email I got a message that my password was incorrect -- it wasnt Two weeks later, I couldnt connect with my Dropbox. Tried to call customer service but they dont want to talk to you so you have to email them. But they never respond. Have spent my business partners time, other staff time, my IT consultants time and my time to figure out whats wrong and still no help from NEAT. Run away fast -- very fast. I want a refund

> 3 dayI must admit that I was reluctant to try Neat System and Cloud Scanner after reading all of the less than favorable reviews here. However, I also researched many neutral consumer reviews and consistently found the Neat system, specifically the Cloud Scanner, at the top of most of the reviews. So, after weeks of research, I finally made the decision to move forward with my purchase. After nearly one month of pretty heavy usage, I have found the Neat System and Cloud Scanner to perform beautifully. I had hundreds of receipts and documents that I had saved over the course of the year and have input each and every one of them, without one single problem. The scanner is fast, accurate and works perfectly. The Neat filing system overall is extremely easy to use and has been a blessing in helping me organize all of my business related receipts and documents, as well as my personal documents. I can now easily access my files from any computer, including my smart phone to view, modify or input documents and run reports. I had thought about purchasing the Neat System and scanner for quite some time and my only regret at this point is that I waited so long. Well done, Neat! Thank you.

> 3 dayWe purchased this scanner with high hopes, which were set from doing a LOT of investigation into scanners of this sort. But, Neat won out against the competitors, because it claimed to be the best at integrating with QuickBooks Online. It did integrate but it was more like using Dropbox and a regular old scanner than anything special, as the marketing would suggest it is. Also, our scanner broke a couple of months later. And, it could never hook up to the internet...not once...ever. Because we not only were sold a lie, but also the machine never worked right and now is truly just broken, we contacted Neat. We dont want the machine. It is worthless. They will not help us. We bought it through Amazon, so they blame Amazon. But, this is not appropriate as #1. it is a Neat problem, #2 it wasnt an Amazon product - it was a Neat product (sold by Neat thru Amazon). Then, they said its been too long. We only had 1 month to make a decision if it was worth it. Ridiculous. I want my money back. It was a bad sale and isnt making anyone happy and Neat customer service is doing nothe

> 3 dayI was looking forward to a product that would make filing bills, documents, and other paperwork easy. I had tried to go completely digital years ago but it was too cumbersome especially since you had to scan to the computer first, then work on the files on that same computer. Not easy to then share the database either so that idea was quickly canned. But now with this new cloud scanner coupled with Neats cloud brains and ability to access and work on the files from anywhere, I am a happy camper. The scanner has worked well for me and easily allows you to combine pages together as well as other options when you scan to Neats cloud, there is a bonus that you can also scan to other clouds such as OneDrive. I found it fed the documents well through the auto sheet feeder (just be sure to put the paper in straight and solid and you shouldnt have an issue) and it saved a lot of time since it has a double sided scanner. The tools for managing the docs are pretty good. I gave 4 stars because these could use some enhancement and there is some difference between the various clients that make is a bit inconsistent. Also, the ability to automatically grab data from documents works inconsistent but its passable and seems like it will improve over time in the cloud. Nonetheless, it still works well and keeps those docs safe and easy to access. I found that the ability to keyword search was useful and just needs you to think about how you want to file and tag all your data consistently so you can find it later. Overall, I am very glad I got this unit and service. I was a little worried based on some negative reviews but so far I dont see any major issues.

> 3 dayIts a great scanner, but the input screen is WAY too small. And currently they are having issues with their new web based software crashing with Mac. I contacted them and they confirmed it. Its crashing on both of my MacBook Airs. Also, if would be really good if you could add email addresses in the web app that would show up in the scanner for convenience of scanning to email addresses. This would prevent you from having to input on that tiny screen with your fingers. Its really easy to hit the wrong buttons. That part was really not well planned, but Im assuming its a pretty easy fix in the software.

> 3 dayThe scanner is too expensive and it is not doing the basic task of scanning consistently. When it does work, it works like a charm. For me, every other time, I have to switch off and on again for the paper to be recognized. It is becoming a nightmare to use this regularly.

> 3 dayThe wifi scanner is great and its a breeze to drop papers of all sizes in and have them scanned. Where this thing fails miserable is on the web site where your scans appear. The interface is lousy, and while it does a nice ATTEMPT at scanning the contents of your docs, where it fails is the process to organize and store your files. Lots of needless clicking, sorting and confirming, etc. It really should used more of a desktop motif where you can just drag and rename files and sort them as you see fit. It takes multiple clicks to name and sort a single file. If you were hoping to do a quick sort of dozens of pages forget it, youll give up after 3. Its a shame. Ill probably unload my scanner on ebay and call it a loss

> 3 dayThis is a great tool. Very fast. My only complaint is that it struggles a certain brand of plain printer paper that a vendor sends us. I wish I knew the brand -- it seems like a normal piece of paper, but only their invoice get jammed in this device.

Greater than one weekLet me start out by saying this is a very well made scanner. But they could really work on the software. The scans all need some attention, you will need to make sure you re-analyze multiple times and manually grab fields you want to track. For the price I was expecting more but what I got was a glorified scanner that has an all in one software organizer. It is not very intelligent you could get the same results with any hp all in one printer and save your docs to a one drive or drop box if you need to access them on the cloud.
