Necoichi Cozy Cat Scratcher Bowl, 100% Recycled Paper, Chemical-Free Materials (Bowl (Oak), XL)

My senior really loved it and spent a long time laying and rolling around in it. Since then my other cats have taken a turn in it. Update 12/30/2020 I has since purchased 2 more of these in the dark Cherry as it seems that 2 of my other cats want to sleep in them every day this way they all have one available. This is an excellent scratcher and bed for that special furbaby(s) in your life and the product was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition! I highly recommend the Necoichi Cozy Cat Scratcher Bowl! When the scratcher wears out, you can use the outer rim as a cat bed - just add a cozy fleece and its got a dual purpose - money well spent!!

I love Nechoichi products for cats because their design is superior and elegant. This scratcher is not a bed but a scratcher. My cat likes it and it looks lovely but she lost interest in scratching in it quite quickly. It now sits elegantly in the corner of the room and barely used except to take her small fluffy ball into it.She has gone back to her old cheap flat scratcher and continues vigorously to scratch on it.

I had found the smaller one at a discount retailer, which worked well for my smaller cat. But my larger cat tried to squeeze into it. I felt so bad for him so I bought the larger one for him. He loves it! Very well made and I like that the company offers refills.

This product was large enough for my big cat. All four of my cats take turn sleeping on it!

It’s nice looking even though the outside looks like wood but it’s not. My cats are passionate about their rectangular scratchers but won’t use this. I made a heavy investment by also buying replacement fillers. The joke is on me. I’ve sprayed catnip on it multiple times and they come over to sniff and do a trial scratch but no more than than that. I now have a beautiful piece of sculpture.

My boys tore the center up and out. By center I mean the core of actually glued cardboard which is then connected to a ribbon of cardboard that makes an even better cat toy lol. Walked in to two cats playing with the giant cardboard snake they made out of this scratcher. So it lasted all of a week and the replacement pads are pricey as well so Ill cut my losses here. I almost returned it but its just a slight design flaw if you have little beasties disguised as cutie-ooties that destroy toys as well.

This looks like a nice concept and Im not sure if I got a defective unit or a used one but upon opening one of the seats fell apart and broke making it unusable. For almost $80 I expect something a bit more durable. I had an extremely hard time getting the unraveled and broken mess back into the box to send it back. If it had been more sturdy Im sure my cats would have liked it but it is not worth the stress level of what I just went through to try to replace and take a chance on a 2nd one being defective. Im putting in for a refund.

My cat loves this thing! She used to have a old taco truck that was very big and was coming apart from her shredding it so much, so we decided to class it up. She loves getting in the top part and looking out of her window but sometimes lies in the bottom as well. She really doesn’t scratch it that much, she still uses an old scratcher, so I think we’ll get a long life out of this one. It’s definitely pricey but it’s pretty sturdy and she fits perfectly in the little bowls. I also like the idea that if she does decide to start scratching them I can replace them. This was also the better price that I found as opposed to other stores.
