Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

Ive been running this on a 5600x CPU for over a year. I just upgraded to a 5800x3D. Unmounting and remounting the cooler was awesomely easy. The fan removal was simple and fast. After that, its just a phillips head screw driver for two spring-loaded screws. Done.

Recommended as replacement to stock AMD and Intel cooler. Temperature is reduced by 20 deg C under heavy CPU usage

I buy literally everything from Amazon and have done for many years, and it’s very very rare I will write a review. For this product I will make an exception. All I can say is that this is probably one of the best quality products I have ever purchased. It’s not a “big” purchase but you can tell Noctua really care about the consumer and have thought of everything. The packaging and instructions are easily the finest I have ever come across with small details like all the components held in individual boxes and clearly marked with fantastic clear and concise instructions. The only other packaging I can compare it to is if you think along the lines of Apple and their iPhone packaging, only better. I wish that more companies would look at a company like Noctua and think of what it means to have classy packaging as I personally think it goes a LONG way, and we’re not talking about a £900 iPhone here, all this from a cpu cooler!. This would mean nothing if the product wasn’t up to the same standards but it really is, performing as well as expected (topping out around 79/80 deg under full load with a Ryzen 7 3700x, would be better but my case in general isn’t the best for air flow) and again you can tell just by the feel of it that’s it’s a quality product and Noctua have not cut any corners. Having looked at Noctua I know they already have a great reputation among pc enthusiasts and they can now add me to their fan base.

I bought this to replace my AMD Wraith Stealth stock cooler that came with my CPU. This is a huge improvement in both noise levels and cooling efficiency. It looks really slick in the black color as well.

I was between this and the NHU-12A. The price difference didnt justify the moderate increase Im performance Id expect.

Acheté pour refroidir un Ryzen 5600X, dont le ventirad dorigine nétait pas assez performant. Les températures sont exceptionnelles, 30° en idle (bureautique), et un maximum de 60 degrés en jeu, sur des titres gourmands comme Cyberpunk avec les settings aux maximum. Il est pour moi le meilleur compromis performances/encombrement quun Noctua DH-D15.

Lo compre con reticencia, tengo un 12700 y con el Asus Enhancement 3.0 se calienta mucho, stock a 65W TDP sin problema y sirve cualquier enfriador. Con el Asus Enhanvement el TDP del 12700 sube a 145W y ahi tuve problemas hasta que instale el NH-U12S.

Exactly what I needed in my computer. Essentially silent under normal workloads, and its simple black color scheme is so much better than the gaudy stock cooler that came with my cpu. Installing was simple, following the included instructions, and they even included high quality thermal paste in the box. Highly recommend noctua cooling products for your computer

As I write this I have a 5800x being cooled with this exact cooler and I cannot even tell it is on. A quiet little beast, this cooler can keep my 5800x (which is known for being the hottest chip out of the new ryzen 5000 series), at 35-40 C at 850rpm idle, or 60-70 C under intense load. It also fits great in my Meshify 2 Compact case and the black finish is so clean I wouldnt even think about anything else. It also comes with great thermal paste and the gear needed to mount a second fan. If you want a fantastic mid/middle high end cooler without paying a ton, or if you want Noctua quality without going for a larger cooler, this is exactly what you need. The definitive smaller air cooler.
