I bought these vitamins to help heal and promote bone strength after a dental implant. My dentist was amazed at my quick healing far ahead of the curve he expected. I also feel good knowing Im getting additional Vitamin D especially during the cabin fever days were having here in New England this winter. Its a long time to be indoors without exposure to natural sunlight - the ideal way of getting Vitamin D naturally. I like knowing my levels are being maintained as evidenced by blood work which used to show a deficit of Vitamin D - an important defense against disease.

I took this for more energy and Im pretty sure it worked. However, what I know it worked for was making my teeth stronger. Originally I had a tooth aching probably due to fillings and then I took this vitamin D and it went away. I know it was the vitamin D because it was the only thing I changed in my diet. I didnt add any extra supplements and I continued to stay inside. After a week my teeth felt stronger and no pain. This was an unintended side effect.

I didnt know brand mattered with supplements, but it really does. I was taking some unknown brand of vitamin D (5000 units) and my yearly bloodwork still came back insufficient. So I did the research I should have done the first time and came upon NOW brand. After taking the 5000u pills every day for about two months, my recheck bloodwork is now well within normal range for Vitamin D! I learned my lesson, no more shady supplement brands ever again.

I was shopping for the best product I could find and I am happy to say I think I have found it. Excellent quality at a good price... Who could ask for more? The 5000 IU has been great for me. I had regular low vitamin D3 levels but my last one was great. My oncologist was very pleased and said I should Keep doing whatever I am doing! - What I have been doing is 5000 D3 per day. As we know, Vitamin D-3 has many health benefits and it is available almost anywhere. Because of that, I am reviewing the company, not the product. This is the most cost efficient product I could find and from a company that had good reviews. I would definitely order this product through this company again. I received the order on time and it was not damaged in any way. After comparing the cost of this product to other similar products at Wal-Mart, Target, etc. I am glad I ordered through Amazon and saved some money. I will be ordering some more as soon as I run out.

It IS possible to overdose on vitamin D! Please consult your doctor before you start taking this if you think youre deficient! I found out that I had a severe Vitamin D deficiency when I needed to get a complete blood count for other health reasons. Not sure how that happened, because I live in a city where the sun shines every single day and we worship rainy days. Maybe I need to get out more. At the time, I didnt have a doctor, so I thought Id try taking an OTC supplement until I could get in to see one. I searched for the highest amount of IU available and when I came across this listing, I got excited because I knew I could trust NOW to be a good quality while still beating out pretty much all the competition in terms of price. It didnt take too much comparison shopping to realize that I wasnt wrong. I ended up needing 50,000 IU which is prescription-only, so I dont take this anymore. By the time I actually got around to finding a primary care physician and going to see them, I had gone through 2 bottles of NOWs vitamin D already. I really dont consider it a waste, though, and if I end up needing to maintain my vitamin D levels after theyre up to par, Ill definitely be throwing this back in the shopping cart.

I have finally found the perfect Vitamin D supplement that works for me!! I love them!!
