Philips 468926 Hue White Ambiance E12 Decorative Candle 6W Equivalent Dimmable LED Smart Bulb (Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant)

Love the adjustability of these and it’s great that they work with the Hue software as well as Alexa. However, as others have said, they are much taller than regular similar “candle” bulbs. They fit my wall sconces but are way too tall to fit under the shades of my dining table light.

Works well.

PROS: * Fits standard sockets, in this case E12 candelabra. * Works with SmartThings for full home automation. * Can still be controlled by a physical switch. * Ambiance functionality allows you to light your space according to the use. CONS: * Philips is always on the pricey side for smart LED lighting. But, you get what you pay for, and youre paying to buy into an ecosystem that is widely supported by many smart home platforms, a quality product, and something that works well. * The E12 bulbs are a tad too long and wide for many E12 applications. Thankfully, in my case, they still work thanks to the lamp holding them. Philips Hue has reigned supreme with their LED series of smart lights. I love them. In this case, I had a nice swap lamp I ordered that I wanted to offer ambiance level control. Im already heavily invested in Hue platform as well as SmartThings. While Alexa does integrate directly, as well, I find it easier to just expose devices from SmartThings to Alexa, instead. It prevents duplicate devices and enabled more consistent behavior and functionality. The lights operate on scenes where they turn on bright white, then slowly dim as the evening progresses, until they finally shut off. I leave one bulb on and dimmed to 10% as a night light for that corner of the living room.

I’ve been waiting for philips hue to come out with the candle light for hue for a while. I have 3 fixtures in the house that use the candle lighting. We have the entire house with a combination of other hue bulbs and I was great that we can now complete our fixtures and have them operate on one system.

Absolutely love these! So glad they came out with this size bulb! They work perfectly.

Just right

Added Philips Hue White Ambiance Smart Bulbs to a couple IKEA floor lamps I have (3 E12 Hue bulbs in each). Super easy setup & working great. Nice brightness when theyre at 100%, though I usually run them @ 30-50% for ambiance if watching TV / movies.

Works Great with Alexa!

I love having these bulbs in my home (i have several in various rooms). As far as the Candle/decorative ones I did find they are noticeably bigger than the typical candle/decorative bulb (see pics). And then I was very sad that I couldnt get them in the lamp glass for my ceiling fan. Out of desperation, I tried a hack by cutting the tip of the bulb off to shorten the length and voila ... it worked. Now it may not look as awesome and Im sure I voided any warranty it had, but I have yet to have a guest or anyone notice and it WORKS

So glad they finally released the E12. Love the hue bulbs!
