This works great for custom cut fish tank lids. I used an xacto knife like another reviewer recommended. I then snapped it on the edge of a table. For the smaller sections I scored and snapped the pieces using pliers. I needed lids for 2.5 gallon tanks and this was beyond worth it. I got a Command knob to use as a handle and it looks great!

Exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it. The edges were a little roughly cut, but otherwise exactly what I wanted.

Great product I bought it for my serving tray on my ottoman the mirror broke years ago and I couldn’t find a mirror that exact size so this works fine,I put fabric over it so it’s beautiful. You’ll need a special tool to cut it or just use a blade saw

This has been a life saver for me at my school this year being able to put a small hole and tie rope around to make personal bubbles

So I used this to modify an old aquarium and turn it into a terrarium. Originally I was told to go with glass but I like keeping everything I own super light (I live up a flight of stairs) so If I can cut the weight of anything in a reasonable way Ill do it. Anyway this thing is a godsend. Im actually planning on buying 4 or 5 more of these things to modify terrariums. One disclaimer though I do not heat through the poly-carbonate, I heat through the class and I keep LEDS around this poly-carbonate. I do not have know knowledge about it being safe around animals if it is heated up in any way. Since I dont know for sure I act like it isnt. Anyway this stuff is amazing and I am gonna be a loyal customer for sure.

I didn’t know the cover of my sunglasses box was glass and I didn’t protect it during my last moving. It got broken ( thankfully no damages to my sunglasses), then I decided to search to some kind of plastic I could use to replace the broken glass. I am glad I found this plastic sheet. I only needed half of its size, so I still have half sheet that I can use to something else. It saved $11-12 dollars. A new box would cost me $20 plus taxes.

In reviews of this product quite a number of persons commented that this plastic sheet was easy to cut -- My reply: What were they using to cut it--a band saw? I tried a new #11 X-Acto blade; then a utility knife with a heavy-duty blade; then a heavy-bladed paring knife honed to a razors edge--I can cut through chicken bones with this knife with hardly any effort. I finally had to resort to heavy kitchen shears that go through plastic blister pack material like butter -- I still wound up with an uneven line that had to be sanded straight. Perhaps other reviewers were mentally comparing this to sheet metal or quarter-inch Lexan? Unless you have the strength of 2 men or access to industrial grade cutting tools, do not buy this thinking it can be cut easily using standard hobbyist tools. If you need this product regardless of relative cutability, please consider also purchasing a thin kerf saw to go with it. It is a good quality product / Most persons will not find it easy to cut -- Honest!

I have to cut the material into windows that I ship out with products I 3d print. Unlike other sources, the backing comes off the plastic too easily. It started coming off just by cutting it with a miter saw. I now have to bag the window rather then leaving it just as is.

Polycarbonate is a superior clear plastic sheet compared to Plexiglass/Acrylic
Sheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you would find in Plexiglass. Additionally, Polycarbonate can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun. It is also perfect for thermoforming or vacuum forming. This makes Polycarb perfect for both DIY and professional projects around the home, shop, or for manufacturing.

Shatter Resistant & Strong
Polycarbonate has great mechanical properties, making it often considered as a safer option than glass sheets or acrylic sheets. Tensile Stress: 63 MPa. Flexural Stress: 90 MPa. Rockwell Hardness, R: 120

High Optical Clarity
Light transmission of 88-90%, tested at 2.54mm thickness per ASTM D1003

Electrical Resistivity
Volume Resistivity: > 1.0E15 Ohm-cm

Protective Film on BOTH SIDES
This product is shipped with a thin protective film on both sides. Please peel this off to expose the clear sheet. You can mark onto this film while working with the material, then remove it to expose a pristine surface.
