Greater than one weekIts a tight fit, but works great. I even installed my keyboard USB receiver in the case and it works fine across the room. My only complaint is that the fan it came with is loud and seems cheap. Ill probably end up replacing it at some point.

Greater than one weekVery easy to assemble. If you are buying it is because you have a raspberry pi so you know what it does. Still the best nes case for rp. All connections worked, fan is a little annoying if you even notice it, but an easy removal. Used for rp3b

> 3 dayGood case, but buyer beware: QC seems to have issues. I had three problems with the first case. The USB hub didn’t work (main issue), one of my power supply cables wouldn’t connect or power on the device (another one did), and the fan was noisy sometimes. This caused me to knock a star off for time spent troubleshooting my new purchase. However, all three issues resolved when I got a replacement case. The replacement is perfect and everything works as expected. I love the look and the functionality. The script to get the power switch to work correctly was easy to download and it works without issue for me. Fan is reasonably quiet and doesn’t whine like the first one did. Pi seems to stay cool according to the temperature readings given when I shut it down after running an emulator. No complaints at all. It’s a pretty sweet case actually and I’m very happy the replacement actually works. I was skeptical I got a defective product the first time as I’ve never encountered that before and everything looked fine by eye. I spent a reasonable amount of time troubleshooting potential hardware or software issues with both the pi and case before giving up. My advice if you are considering this case is to make sure you are doing things correctly first - watch the installation video above, use a proper 5V 2.5+amp power supply, and be cautious with the installation. This is important, I noticed a lot of complaints here seem to be from user error most likely. That said, if you did everything correctly and something is not working, just have them replace it as some cases apparently have issues.

> 3 dayLike most, I was very excited to get this case for my Raspberry Pi 3B Retropie setup. I followed the instructions for assembly, and overall, it wasnt extremely hard to setup. However, I had two points that caused some issues: 1.) Small problem: The fan. I assembled it so that the logo side is facing downward, which pulls air into the case instead of pushing hot air out. Flipping the fan over doesnt work because the screws are too long with the openings on the one side, so you either need smaller screws, or you have to put in the fan upside down (or is it right side up)? I would have chosen the airflow in the opposite direction, but I havent had any overheating issues, so I guess the direction of airflow isnt that important as long as there is air flow. 2.) Bigger Problem: When I first downloaded the script following the instructions from the website and the ones included in the box, it didnt work. You push the power button, and it turns on, but then the LED shuts off, and pressing the power button again didnt do anything. Nor did the restart button. I had to download the alternative script as pointed out in the other guys review (follow his instructions for the custom forked script). Also, neither script worked on an older version of Retropie, so I ended up reinstalling Retropie to the newest version 4.8 (buster) and then setting up the custom user script and everything works beautifully now. The power button turns it on, the LED lights up (it sometimes turns off temporarily, then turns back on when it finishes loading), the Reset button will exit the game and dump you back into the menu, and if you push the power button when its on, it will perform a shutdown, then cut power (and shut off the fan.) Exactly like I expect it to work. Now that I have it working, its a wonderful little addition! Tiny footprint, and the power button is much more convenient than plugging and unplugging the RPi.

Greater than one weekGreat little case. Came with fan and heat sink. ***warning***. The fan screws I got were too long and damaged the top of the case. Be careful when installing the fan! You can ruin your nice new case.

> 3 dayGreat little case. Follow the instructions for how to install a simple program. This will make the power and reset buttons work correctly. It is so nice to be able to press the power button, a script runs automatically, and then it shuts down properly. I am using with Pi 3B. It is running retropie. It will shut down the system, even if mid game emulation. I also find that now I no longer get the overheating icon in the upper right while running some more intensive emulators. Probably because of the fan. Be sure to install the fan facing the correct direction. It only blows one direction. I also like the cool NES look. The buttons feel just like a mini NES. Super fun.

Greater than one weekThis is exactly what one needs for a great retropie setup! The USB up front, ease of access to the MicroSD card, an on and off button, and this case comes with a fan, all of the screws, and even a screwdriver! The instructions were sufficient but I would worry that some of my friends intimidated could be intimidated by them. It would have been great if it came with instructions to find the scripts for the fan or color indicators for the fan wiring. All in all, a great product at an incredible price!
