Greater than one weekI dont usually write reviews, but I hope that my experience may be helpful to others. I couldnt get the product to work on Windows 10, but I did manage to get it work on Windows 7. Here are a couple of things I did that made a big difference for me. First, download the software from the web. Then, when prompted to upgrade, say No. Initially I chose to upgrade, the video quality was awful, so I had to uninstall it and download/install it again. Secondly, use S-Video instead of the yellow cable for video input. The video quality is considerably better with S-Video input. Overall, the product worked well on Windows 7. The product is easy to use, and the video quality is good. I was able to convert my mini DV tapes to digital files so I was pretty happy. I dont know why the product didnt work on Windows 10 in my case.

> 3 dayPurchased this product a while back to convert VHS tapes and other media to digital format. The program would export the video using the supplied hardware device, but when trying to create a DVD, it would not play on my DVD players. Tech support said the program was not creating NTSC formatted output, and to use MyDVD to create a DVD. That kinda worked. They fixed the NTSC issue a few months later, and it worked maybe once. So to create a DVD from the captured video content, I use a third-party program. I then tried to use the program to capture audio from cassettes or LPs. Again the program would capture the audio ok, but when I tried to burn a CD, it would crash the program. I worked with tech support for countless hours on different suggestions, but that proved fruitless. So again I used a third-party program to burn CDs. THE BOTTOM LINE IS, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, UNLESS YOURE WILLING TO PUT UP WITHA LOT OF HEADACHES TRYING TO GET THE SOFTWARE TO WORK THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO WORK. OR BE ABLE TO WORKAROUND ITS FLAWS.

> 3 dayI had previously bought a different VHS to DVD converter that never worked. So, after requesting a refund, I bought the Roxio. It was the easiest process to install software and setup the system. I love it. I have used it to convert 2 full length home movies that were on VHS and the tapes were very old. My VCR barely played them but the Roxio did an excellent job of converting them. I recommend this to anyone who has tapes they need saved into digital format. As long as you have a means to play them and jacks to connect to Roxio, you can save them to hard drive, thumb drive, or burn a DVD. Perfect!!!! I rated tech support neutral because they werent needed.

> 3 dayI have a old canon zr100 camcorder that I used to transfer my mini dvd tapes thru my dvd/vcr player. However it no longer works on the dvd side. I was looking for something to easily transfer the tapes thru the computer to a dvd disc. I tried a couple other capture cards that would not work on any of my computers ( I have 3) But, this one was so easy to hook up and use and I have to thank a you tube video or I would never have thought about buying. I would recommend this!!!! I can honestly say it is that simple to use I did not need any tech advise and I am not that great anymore at connecting things to make them work! Thumbs Up for sure on this!

> 3 dayThe adapter is just generic, but works with the included software. That said the software hasnt been updated for some time, but worked with Windows 11. I purchased and returned other units that while seen by the operating system, the included software would not work with Windows 10 or 11. The price is terrible for a product that has not been updated in years. I needed it, so I paid the price. That said the software is slow to process the recorded videos. That is not including the playback time of the original video. If its an hour long, then it takes an hour to copy. That is not a Roxio software problem. The post processing time on a high end gaming computer is slow, that is a Roxio software problem. I neither received nor asked for incentives of any kind for this review

> 3 dayI used this plus an old working VCR to convert a set of 4 VHS home movies my Dad made in the 80s. Rather than use the software on the CD included, I downloaded the latest version from Roxio (plus an update) and it worked well on my 9 year old Windows 10 machine (AMD FX 8120 3.1 Ghz CPU, 16gb ram, and 512GB SSD). Rather than let it run for the whole 2 hours, I sectioned my videos up in 20-30 minute segments to make it easier to manage. I was able to create video files to put on USB flash drives to hand out to family, as well as menu-driven DVDs (which I created using the built in Roxio MyDVD). The software feels a bit dated, but then again so are the source VHS tapes. Overall Im pretty happy to be able to archive these home movies using this affordable solution.
