> 3 dayThe parent company for the Roxio VHS to Digital file converter is Corel, which also owns the Pinnacle Dazzle product. There are compatibility issues with this product, but once loaded it works as advertised. 1. The product will not load on the HP Pavilion laptop running Windows 10 on 10th gen i7 processor with Intel graphics chipset. However, it did load successfully on the HP Notebook running Windows 10, 7th gen i7 processor with Intel graphics chipset and on the Asus X515 laptop running Windows 11, 11th gen i3 processor with Intel graphics shipset laptop. 2. Although the software is to be downloaded from the Roxio online store, the version that is available fore download is obsolete so you have to download a 2nd program after the initial software download/install. Corel could have made this a 1 step download process from their website instead of making it a 2 step process. 3. Format for the imported file is MPEG 2 compatible, so must download the MPEG 2 video extension from the Microsoft Store before the laptop can play the file.

> 3 dayMy version came with a DVD, so I didnt have to download the 750+ MB program. Some low rating users had installation and crashing problems, but I had none. Worked as advertised. Handling projects is a little clumsy, but pretty simple once youve figured it out. Editor is almost useless. There are three Enhancements - denoise, stabilize shaky video, and color collection. Denoise and Color seem to work ok. Stabilize video crashed the project when you try to output it??? But there plenty of free video editors out there (Video Editor that comes with with Windows 10 - MovieMaker is OBE - dont use it.) Output choices limited to MEPG2, h.264 (MPEG4) and WMV. The latter gave the best file output result. I was looking for preservation, not HD, so thats ok. Havent used the DVD output option, but have a video editor to do editing and create output, so probably wont use Roxio for that.

> 3 dayI have been fighting with this since July 15th! When I first set it up I was able to convert 3 short videos before I got the blue screen of death and that was the end of it. No matter what I tried there was no way it would find the video. Trying to get in touch with Corel Roxio support is impossible! If you are lucky enough to get into the chat line and they dont disconnect you before you can tell them you need support they will tell you they are not support and just give you a ticket number and tell you someone will email you in 4 to 5 hours. I got 1 email after 4 chat requests asking me to send invoice, picture of the box..all sides, the paper work included, UPC code and the device, a screen shot of the error and a detailed description of the problem. Ive sent the email with all they asked for 4 times and still have not heard back from the support desk. There are drivers missing in the software that you will not be able to install to make this work so why they would tell everyone that this is Windows compatible I dont under stand. Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus is anything but easy and is a waste of money AND time. At one time Roxio made really great programs but since Corel bought its not worth wasting time on.

> 3 dayAfter installing this program, it took six days of deep digging through the Amazon site customer reviews and a couple sites about connection cables to get enough information to have a working program. I can see the reasons for the very negative reviews, over the top frustration with the lack of resources to get it to work. Product information only suggests checking connections again and again or reinstalling. It is not surprising many customers give poor reviews and throw up their hands and return the product. What I found out in six days; I was able to actually create a disk of my VHS tape. I dont agree that it is easy, so far I can only save to my computer, other choices wont work, I am able to copy that save that file to the DVD. Possibly I will learn more about the supposed ways of saving the recording in the next few days? 1). requires male (RCA or S video) connection cables with same connections on both ends to join the Easy device to the VHS player. 2). requires DVD + R discs to record videos. (DVD-R will not record, are not recognized in a computer). 3). ensure that your security settings allow apps to access your camera and microphone. Toggle the switch on both to ON. (To find the security area: select the following: windows icon, settings gearwheel icon, security) OR in This PC, search window, type security, select security). 4). Product comes with an installation disc so going to site for installation is not required. The VHS to DVD user guide can be quite helpful for installing and creating WHEN you can see your tape actually playing in the program.

> 3 dayI hated that right after I bought it it was $30 cheaper. It works well enough. I had some trouble with the cable, even bought another attay, which didnt work, had to pop it open, it somehow disconnected it from the pins inside, plugged it back in and it was good to go.

> 3 dayMake sure you change the default label before you start recording. Works better then the original version I have. Make sure you pay attention to all of the settings previous to starting a recording.

> 3 dayIt wont burn the DVDs. However, Im just glad that I got to save old home videos as digital files on my laptop. My only complaint is that the videos look more fuzzy and theres a pesky purple bar on the top of each video that has everyone looking like Thanos. It wasnt there before, but it doesnt bother me that much because it eventually fades away in longer videos.
