> 24 hourSecond time buying a SanDisk SSD. First one being for myself and this second one for my younger brother. Its a very good SSD and does its job well. This replaced a 500GB Seagate Barracuda as a boot drive in my younger brothers PC and paired with Windows 8.1 Pro, the darn thing boots up well before we get the monitors to turn on from a cold start. Its very good at being an SSD. I dont want to get super technical with the specs, but based on the hardware in the SSD, it stands up well to other competitors from Crucial, Samsung, ADATA, etc. The nandflash seems to read and write well, but I havent gone into in depth testing with the SSD, however from everyday use, the drive is speedy and doesnt miss a beat. Overall, Id say that this SSD is a great buy and very competitive for the market that it is in.

> 24 hourI bought 2 of these and used them to clone my wifes and my laptop hard drives so we could use the cloned drives to install the free Windows 10 upgrade and still have Windows 7 hard drives to go back to if we didnt like Windows 10. They worked great for that and these 240 GB drives have enough space for Win 10 and all the programs we need to run. My wife doesnt have a lot of other things stored on her computer so it was big enough for all her needs. I have terabytes of pictures, home movies and videos stored on a second 2 TB internal HD in my laptop and several USB HDs so the 240 GBs was plenty for my system drive. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a fast system drive without a large amount of on board storage.

> 24 hourFirst time using Sandisk SSD, Unfortunately Sandisk SSD dashboard is not compatible to Win XP OS. So I removed my Samsung 840 Evo SSD from my Lenovo S10-3 Win 7 and tried installing the Sandisk SSD Dashboard there but the display resolution is not compatible as it requires minimum 1024X768 while the Lenovo S10-3 is 1024X600. Very surprised though as the Samsung Magician software still runs on the Lenovo S10-3. Anyway, currently I used EaseUS Todo Back-up free to clone my Win XP machine to the Sandisk SSD and tune the machine to be SSD optimize. I downloaded Sandisk SSD toolkit on my XP machine but it did not recognize the Sandisk SSD PLUS installed. Oh well, I probably switch over one of my Samsung 850 EVO SSD from my MSI Win 7 machine to the XP machine and use the Sandisk SSD PLUS on it. At least if Sandisk has home built cloning software such as Samsung Migrate and Samsung Magician on CD (rather that downloading it), this will ease the user installation experience

> 24 hourWorks perfect and wow is it fast. This is the only way I will build a PC again. Boot times are almost instant. I installed Windows on it in less than 15 minutes. After installation I just pointed all the data-heavy folders to my other terabyte drive and I was good to go. If youre building a new PC this is required buy. Just as important as a video card or ram. One recommendation. Only plug in the SSD for the install. I had my other drive active during the install and windows made it the boot drive even though the OS was on the SSD. I had to reformat both and start from scratch to get the boot and the OS on the SSD.

> 24 hourThis SSD was very affordable and it totally revived my laptop. The installation of the drive was very easy. If you are new to replacing a hard drive then I suggest researching what you might need to transfer an image of your existing drive to your new SSD. The bootup time required to boot Windows has decreased. A side benefit if you have a computer with a little amount of ram (4gb RAM or less) is that it speeds up the processes running in the background. An example of this is if your are pushing the limits of your ram the system begins to access your hard drive to act as an expanded ram source. With a SSD drive this doesnt slow down your computer at all, but with a drive that spins it has to spin your drive constantly as it acts as a temporary source for RAM thus slowing down all of the processes. It accesses the SSD similar to RAM because there are no moving parts. I dont want to get technical on the specifics but just want to indicate that the increase in performance is more noticeable when the SSD is placed in an older computer than in a brand new computer that already has 8gb RAM or more. I plan to get several more years of use out of my laptop because of this SSD.

> 24 hourI replaced the original HDD in my early 2008 iMac with this SSD, and it has made a world of difference. The mac had nearly ground to a halt with regular beach balling, very slow bootup times for the OS and very slow startup times for all apps, as well as slow app performance. The SSD has made the years drop away and the computer feels like a brand new machine. No more beach balls, screamingly fast app startups and performance - this was, all the way around, a major improvement for not much money. The installation was a bit nerve-wracking, but it was doable even for a non-tech person such as myself. Interestingly, I had no conception this was even possible until a salesperson in a local Apple store suggested it.

> 24 hourI had no problem cloning and upgrading my standard OS 120GB 3.5 Hard Drive to this SSD. I used Macrium Reflect Free and a How-To Geek guide to clone my OS drive without any difficulties. Guide - http://www.howtogeek.com/199068 Macrium Reflect Free - http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx As for the speed of the drive; boot times and shutdowns have dramatically improved. (From about 45 seconds to 8 seconds) and programs load quicker. Honestly though, I really dont notice much of a difference in everyday performance but boot time and shutdown speed are really quick now. That alone is worth the price to me. Overall the drive is decent and is a good way to get your feet wet in the SSD realm. Perhaps it would be better to invest a bit more for a faster SSD though as I really dont notice much of a performance boost besides quick boot up and shutdown speeds.

> 24 hourPurchase this item since it has went down in price from hundred of dollars to $64.99, now $61.95, making it an excellent deal. At least it is cheaper than waiting for my hard drive to breakdown. Went to see how much a professional would charge to install it and clone my old disk drive, since I have never clone a hard drive before, and they want $150 to install and clone the old hard drive. As such I decided to do it myself. The installation was easy. I downloaded the free cloning software from that is mentioned in the FAQ section for this product here on Amazon. I connect the

Hey Vin
> 24 hourI got this as a replacement for a hybrid SSHD (which is part SSD, part spinning hard drive) in my 13 2009 MacBook Pro. Compared to the hybrid drive and the regular hard drive (HDD) that I had in the MacBook Pro before the SSHD, there is a noticeable speed increase when launching apps. To my surprise, however, boot-up speed is only slightly improved from the SSHD, which is a little disappointing. Heres the thing though... if you compare the read / write specs of this drive to the newer Samsung SSDs, and such, youll note that this drive is a bit behind, but really, you need to take three things into account: *1)* What youre paying (probably significantly less for this SanDisk, vs. a Samsung) *2)* The fact that its a SanDisk (which is better than a no-name brand, at least) ---and, most significantly--- *3)* The fact that you might be installing this drive into a machine that might not be able to support the max read / write speeds of the newer Samsung SSDs *anyway* So, for the above reasons - in addition to the problem-free install experience - I am giving this item five stars.

> 24 hourFirst of all the drive works well. Entry level so dont expect super duper fast reads and writes. Two stars drop off because of the difficulty in transferring from the old hard drive from the laptop to the ssd drive. I know that cheap is the key word here and that no software utility or other means of cloning come with the drive. The drive that I was replacing had Windows 10 and on a fairly slow laptop which I was wanting to speed up. A free cloning utility is available, EaseUS and that part was painless except that once completed, the boot sector on the cloned drive needed repaired to be bootable. So, since I have no Windows 10 installation disk, Microsoft allows download of repair disk image which has to be installed onto a flash drive or DVD. An hour or two later after digging up the required programs, the drive was fully functional. Next since I wanted to test the drive, I downloaded the Sandisk SSD Dashboard program. What a joke that is! Never had a program refuse to run if the screen resolution didnt suit the program. Well, another visit to Sandisk site an.after several adjustments to the supported resolution, the program came alive. I went to the performance section clicked and up popped another program problem with my computer. Back to Sandisk support site, digging found there was two possible solutions, edit a registry key if it existed; it didnt. Then go to the command line and enter a string of characters and it didnt work either. So after fooling around with this dog and pony show I flat out quit wasting time and uninstalled SSD Dashboard and classified it as another piece of useless software.
