Simple Houseware 43-Inch Heavy Duty Garment Bag w/Pocket for Dresses, Coats

Im a married lesbian. Imagine, if you will, one small closet with TWO puffy femme wedding dresses. There is not much space for other clothes, and I do like to wear things that arent my wedding dress on occasion. I am also, however, a sentimental sap, so I dont want to get rid of my or my wifes dresses, even three years after the wedding. Three years was long enough with them both in the closet that I wanted them to go somewhere else, to come out, if you will. Enter the garment bag. It is super heavy duty and thick at the seams and zipper, but has mesh portions for ventilation. Its got a lovely hole at the top so you can provide your own clothes hanger, or two, if you have two wedding dresses, for example. The expanding portion is wide enough that I only had to squish the skirts down a little bit to get it to zip up. Its great. The dresses are now happily situated in the attic, where I plan for my hypothetical children to find the bag in exactly the same condition its in right now after Ive died and they have to clean out my house. And I can find my clothes again, though my wardrobe seems to have expanded to take up the new space with remarkable gumption.

Material strong enough to travel with and not tear. I had 8 womens dressed in the bag and still had room for more. Folds nicely with strongly sewn handles. Pockets on the bottom allows for a few pair of shoes and hair supplies. All in all very pleased.

The zipper broke when I got it very cheaply made.

For the price this is perfect for what we needed. Plenty big enough for several items. Material seems durable. Haven’t had it long enough to know how long it will last. Pockets on bottom are good size for mens shoes and even held a pair of chukka boots.

I purchased this garment bag to carry my dress to a local hotel where I am staying to attend a wedding. Its fine for car and local travel and home storage of a formal gown. I would not suggest using it for airplane travel as its relatively thin.
