Snappy Tools Plug Cutter, 3/8

> 3 dayCuts nice plugs. Use to cut face grain plugs, which look much better.

Greater than one weekit is doing the job. after quiet many plugs I made with the bit and a drill press I needed to sharpen the bit then I kept working, no problem.

> 3 dayNot very sharp and will jump around. Even with a drill press, drill table and an oak wood block very tightly clamped down, it jumped and danced as soon as it entered the wood, creating inaccurately shaped plugs. Basically worthless for hard wood. Might try on softwood for next project, or I might just spend the 5 bucks and buy a pack of plugs online.

Greater than one weekGreat plug maker. Recommend using a drill press to ensure they are all straight and uniform. Take your time and let the tool cut the plug. Dont force it!

> 3 dayMore junk. Completely dull. Doesn’t even come close to cutting a decent plug.

Greater than one weekmust be used in a solid drill press for optimum results... If tried with a hand drill, it will dance all over the place because the tips are very sharp and travel before penetrating.

Greater than one weekThe style of cutter basically sucks and I dont even think this is a very good example of this style of cutter. The geometry in the sharpening are all wack plus I dont even think the material is that good. On the other hand I need a grand total of eight plugs And Im not a professional woodworker so odds are that Im not going to be let down by this thing too badly. Because I dont plan on using a lot.

> 3 dayI would like it to cut a little longer plugs. But it does fine cutting 3/8” long plugs.

> 3 daySuggest limiting use to a drill press for stability. Plugs are nice to use but the counter sink depth needs to be more significant than a non-chamfered plug. Wood thickness could cause minor limitation in applications.
