theres an atrocious voice announcement for every single thing the headphone does that interrupts whatever youre doing. NEVER buying Sony again.

After around two years one side of this headphones physically brocket, and I looked for other phones for more durable build and I found it....

They automatically turn off noise cancelling whenever I am using a random orbital sander or my jointer. They not only turn off noise cancelling when I need it most but it then AMPLIFIES whatever sound it detects. These things are useless and Im returning them immediately.

I mainly use the XM4 at home and or when I go walking and the headphones feel really comfortable on the head out of all my other headphones but they are also the most expensive out of all my other headphones. Noise cancellation is again the best out of all my other pair of headphones and so easy to use especially since the headphones have adaptive noise cancellation using Sony’s app that can be found on google play or apple store. Sound quality is amazing especially playing songs with a lot of energy that just make you feel pumped up. Overall Sony makes some good headphones.

Im so glad I purchased these as I use them all the time for remote work and music listening. I used to use AirPod Pros but they start to hurt your ears over time. I have several Beat Studios and other headsets to listen to music but I find these are on par with them on sound but excel at noise cancellation, comfort, and carry ability.

While using this as a set of headphones was great. The built in microphone is wholly inadequate for use with a phone. If that’s what you need, this isn’t it.

This is my second pair after the first broke. These have the best noise cancellation in the industry, however, theyre not overly great at anything else.

I was a HEAVY user of the headset, with at least 8 hrs a day of usage. The initial unit failed about 7 months in and given the price, I was concerned. The interaction with Sony support was smooth as had no issues with the exchange.

This model is bettter than the previous one in terms of everything except the ergonomics.

A waste of money. Great sound quality but there is a constant problem of audio stuttering. The sound cuts out for a second every few seconds to no longer than a few minutes. It’s very annoying. Almost to the point where the headphones are unusable. I wish I discovered this when I could return them. My old pair of xm3 work so much better.
