Stanley STA033726 Fatmax Tape Blade Armor, Dual Scale, 8m Length

I bought this tape towards the end of July thinking Stanley Fatmax was a sturdy, reliable make (which I probably still do), however between the day l bought it and the day it broke (November) l had used it around half a dozen times. At the time I was measuring a floor for carpet so it wasnt under any undue strain when the tape came detached from the spring. Tried to fix it but the design of the spring makes it impossible. I actually believe this is a one off as I believe Fatmax has a good reputation in tools and would last a great deal longer normally. However my Fatmax is broken hence the lack of stars

At €19..(bought my last one on hear for €11) just great value for the pros and novice.

Over the years, I have collected a good number of measuring tapes. Those that are flimsy, those that dont recoil well and those that seem to give a different measurement each time you use them. I needed a good tape. This aas recommended to me, saw the reviews and it looked OK. I wish I had bought this years ago, although I cannot comment on the longevity, it feels substantial and so far hasnt let me down. Dont be a wally, be a real man / woman and buy one if you need a good tape.

I do wonder what some people are on when they write Reviews and this product is not execption. Firstly, this is a genuine Stanley FATMAX product, the numbers on metal tape are clear, acturate and have inches, centimeters and feet. Excellent build quality, strong holding clip, stable and will hold its own weight to over 3 metres. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

Sturdy up to 3 metres in the air before it bends… what more could you want? Great product

Sturdy device for double minded imperial/metric....

Its great tape measure, but if you dont often measure above 5m you are better of buying the 5m one. This one is a bit bigger and heavier.
