I skeptically ordered this preening toy, and it was everything we could have asked for. The colors are vibrant, and enticing. The material is quality, and hasnt caused any harm to the bird (unlike a mophead weve used in the past, the strands would get caught in his little eyes :<). > 3 dayWhen I first put this in our parakeet s cage he was afraid of it. It is pretty big; about 8 inches long bigger than he is. I left him alone, and in a little while he was tentatively picking at it, now hes been chewing on it regularly (like now). He really likes it and it should last a long time. Great purchase!

Not sure if you can tell from the pic, but they take turns “preening” the soft ropes and pass them back and forth to each other, it’s so cute :) Also, I’ve noticed any time one of them gets stressed for any reason, they run right over to this and preen away. I agree with the other reviewer who stated every bird should have one!
