> 24 hourSo if you purchase the xl size please check the template against the plastic pieces that go on the door I did not and had to do 2 separate cuts not a big deal if the first one was smaller…I’ll assume the template was the large size car door…my cats started using it after a few hours of inspections…works good keeps my basement door shut so the attic access and stuff mounted in stairwell for living room tv and audio is nicely hidden. And cats can get downstairs much better than door always being cracked and lost heat my thermostat calls less in the evening now….check the template against the plastic pieces make sure it’s the same size as the template or just trace the outside of the piece with the two ears and perfect..

> 24 hourThis worked perfectly to keep my dogs from eating cat food. Now my cats have their own space to eat.

> 24 hourI first have to start off with a complaint. The instructions on the template that you use to cut the hole is flawed. It says to cut out the template on the black line, but if you do that then the hole is way too big. You have to cut inside of the black line. Because the hole was top big I had to rig it to the door. I had to super glue the cat door to the door itself because the glue strips that are included were too thick. Then I had to screw the arched strip to the door itself because it didnt fit into the grooves of the cat door. The cat door looks really nice, but I had to get really creative to install it because of the poor instructions. The cat door itself is made of wood and is painted white so it looks like a custom piece of trim.

> 24 hourI have a small extra bedroom that is a dedicated litter room, which is great except that I had to leave the door cracked all the time to allow my five cats access and it was so annoying. Not to mention, these little stinkers could sometimes close the door on each other, and thats just bad news! So I decided to put this cat door in and it was a great choice! My boyfriend installed it so I cant say how easy that was, but he says it wasnt an issue at all and it only took him roughly an hour, mostly because he decided to hot glue the seam just in case my little brats try to claw the door off. Overall, its a cute way to frame a cat door and Im so happy that I bought it!

> 24 hourI ended up needing to buy a smaller cat door opening that included a door I was able to close if needed to keep cats in closed area. (I converted closet in a foster kitty closet). So good quality door and is extremely large opening … I was worried that I may be fostering different cats that may not fit in smaller sized cat doors. However turns out most of cats are either very underweight or smaller sized kittens, so decided this door doesnt work for my needed purpose. I think it the size would be big enough for larger sized cats or bigger breeds like the Maine Coon.

> 24 hourThis is a super cute concept. It is a piece of plastic trim that goes over a door cut-out to allow cats to pass through. You make a rough cut in the door, and the trim covers up any imperfections for a clean look! I used a corded jigsaw with a scrolling blade (to enable tighter, finer turns). We put this in a closet in our basement that we are going to use for litter boxes so that we can keep the door closed.

> 24 hourWe used to have to leave our basement door open all the time so that our cat could get to his litter, but it was sort of a hassle because it partially blocked another doorway when open, and frequently got blown closed by wind coming through the front door. Decided to give this a shot and were so glad we did. Install was easy, about 20 minutes. Our cat had no weirdness at all about it and started using it immediately - best of all we can now leave our basement door closed all the time. Last time he was weighed he was around 17lb so he should fit in the smaller version, but my wife was worried he wouldnt use it if it was too small - so we errd on the side of going larger. I guess my only minor issue with this is its a bit pricey for what it is, but then again it is pretty unique in regards to the design and definitely provides a nice finished look when installed.

> 24 hourSuper cute for our kitty closet! We converted a storage closet under our stairs into a kitty room to house the litter box etc. we needed to find a way to keep the door closed but give them access to their room. This was the perfect solution for those slightly handy. Adhesive could’ve been a little stronger but we used extra adhesive glue just in case. I wish the plastic had been just a little sturdier but so far so good. Our kitties took right to the new room & they had no issue using their new door. And it looks adorable!

> 24 hourTemplate for cutting door that came with my purchase was way too small for the product I received. Template also doesnt accommodate the screw holders and had to cut notches for them. Aside from that I am very happy with the door. Our dog can no longer eat our cats food and our cat is extremely happy about that : )
