> 24 hourI had one of these previously in a home and wanted the same thing again. Works very well and the cats dont mind it at all. As long as you can cut the hole in the door, installation is fairly easy. Be mindful of the type of door you want to cut as hollow doors may need to be cut/filled to keep sturdy.

> 24 hourThe “framing” is sturdy and has good adhesion. It is smooth and doesn’t snag at the kitty’s fur. Our dogs love to peek in to see what’s happening on the other side. We use the door to the laundry room which is in the back hallway. This is visible from our front room so I can now leave the door closed but the kitties stuff have access to their facilities and food. The dogs don’t get in the laundry room and cause trouble either. Of course my ornery cats really like to play on either side of the “door”, too. It’s exactly what I needed.

> 24 hourThis kitty pass XL is everything we wanted from a cat door. Naturally like most cat owners we have 2 of our 3 litter boxes in the basement because... Kittens + litter = a mess in this house. No more visible litter boxes when we have guests over AND we don’t have to keep the basement door open! (not cracked we have 2 Maine Coon kittens, they’re large) That was a huuuge seller for us. Nobody needs to look at our stairway to hell all day every day. Another plus is that our 2 dogs can’t get to the litter boxes anymore, which is a HUGE relief. As for the kitty pass itself. It’s cute, functional and was VERY easy to install with the correct tool. Took us around 5 minutes total, that’s taking the door off the hinges, cutting the hole and putting the door back on with the kitty pass installed. I like that it’s large enough for our boys to grow into it and still have plenty of room to slink away to their cobweb filled haven without disturbing the peace.

> 24 hourThank You to those who left messages on what to expect when cutting the door. It turned out great and I wish I did this sooner!

> 24 hourProduct was easy to install. Use the template, mark bottom of the door and then use a jigsaw to cut opening. I took door off the hinges and laid it on a table for cutting. I would not suggest cutting while the door is upright. I did not cut the perfect hole lol, the product flexes to accommodate the spacing. I then used a 10lb wieght and placed on both sides after sticking to the door to make sure there was good adhesion. You can always add additional 3M tape if you feel the provided is not enough. If you are worried about installation there are some good youtube how to videos that will show you step by step. It has been a few weeks since installing I am writing this review and the product has held up so far. Cats dont have an issue using it at all.

> 24 hourSuper cute cat door, and very easy to install! I had never even used a jigsaw before (or any power saw, for that matter), and was able to cut and install this more quickly than I thought. I ended up using 2 sturdy tv tables as a makeshift sawhorse. Fortunately, the product bezel was large enough to cover my less than perfect cutting in some places. :) Also, the adhesive tape on the bezels is very strong and sticks on the slightest contact, so make sure you have it lined up well before making any contact with the door. Now my kitties can use the laundry room litter box without my having to leave the door open all the time. Both cats ran to check it out and used it immediately. They are both around 10 pounds, and while they could have used the smaller one, Im glad I purchased the XL size as it makes it a bit taller/easier for them.

> 24 hourWow, where do I even start? This cat door is amazing!!!! Wish I had bought it sooner. We never used to be able to shut our bedroom door at night because our cat would need to go in and out of our bedroom at night. Now we can finally close and lock our bedroom door and our cat can still go in and out of our bedroom using her cat door. My cat is about 12-13 pounds. We first bought the size Large cat door, but it was just too small, she would have to crawl through. So we returned it and bought the size XL and it is perfect. Our cat can go in and out of it very easily. It has been a great purchase. We love it, our cat loves it. Just perfect. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourI recently moved into a new home and the laundry room, where I had the litter box set up in my old home, was not as big in the new space. Luckily I have a storage room in the new house which I designated as Bolo and Gracie’s restroom. ;) The problem with it, however, is that the storage room door – if ajar for the kitties to go in and out – would have bumped up against the door to the garage. So as any good Amazon customer does, I searched for a solution and voila – the Kitty Pass! I opted for the XL as Bolo is still growing and I don’t know what to expect. And honestly, if you are going to put a hole in your door anyway, might as well get a size you know will work and not have to adjust later for growth. The Kitty Pass is more attractive than a litter box sitting out in the open and, as an added bonus, Bolo uses it to stalk his prey (his sister) from the other side. I had my carpenter friend do the incision but he said it was very easy and the template provided really made the job easier. He took his time making the first cut until he knew how the door would react to the saw.
