Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks

I have been using ratchet straps for my kayak and other items. They are sometimes difficult to loosen. These have been very easy to use, adjust and loosen easily, and protect the vehicle from scratches.

I have 3 kayaks I move from time to time, and I purchased the Thule kayak carrier to go on my Thule rack. I was using a generic REI strap for one kayak, but I didnt realize how much of a pain it was until I started using these. These are simple, strong, and well designed to securely handle kayaks of all sizes. Its worth spending a tad more for these

These straps are plain and simple but very effective and easy to tie down canoe or kayak. I used a basic Thule rack with a couple pool noodles I got for $1 each at a drug store.

The buckle protectors come in handy when tossing the strap over the car. The cams can loosen and it takes two hands to tighten, ratchet straps are a better option in my opinion.

I love that I don’t have to worry about scratching my car or my kayak with the rubber buckle covers.

The straps hold well. They will strap one SUP to my car, but are not long enough for two. The buckle bumpers are a PAIN (Only reason for lower rating). The Yakima Heavy Duty Straps with integrated bumpers are much easier to use.

We got these straps to help tie down out SUP boards. We are very satisfied, they are strong and durable and love the face that the metal components have a rubberized cover because it protects out car as well as out SUP boards. NO COMPLAINTS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

These are perfect straps for securing our two kayaks on top of the Jeep. Matter of fact, well probably order a couple more for backups.

Much better quality than the cheapo straps sold in hardware stores. Cost more, but strong.
