Working all over the house with no booster in the router. worked on the fridge till I pushed it back against the wall. Fixed that by plugging it into a power strip on the side of the fridge. Freezer and torch on back porch no problem. Power usage very useful info. Probably need to replace the fridge. I have the app on my phone and tablet. the tablet seems more responsive than the phone when you touch an icon. I have 11 of these in use now. most of them the square ones. two fit in a wall socket. The 10 amp rating has been no issue even on the fridge or freezer.

The outlet works just like any other smart outlet out there. I recommend setting it up with the Smart Life app as it is the most universally compatible. I have things setup so that when it is time to wake up, my lights turn in and my desktop boots up. You do not need to work with electrical wires, the max wattage is the same as the outlet you plug it into and it is compatible with ittt, Google, and Alexa! The icing on the cake is that it has an accurate energy meter built in. It doesnt update often enough for you to do Gamer Nexus total system power charts but you can get a good idea of your systems energy requirements. My roommates and I have a challenge to see who can use the least energy with our gaming rigs. Last month I used 36kw while they use 72kw! Every little bit helps. I only wish I could measure appliances as well.

I flashed these with ESPHome and use them within Home Assistant for state tracking of IR controlled devices. Works great for my purposes. These are some of the few remaining devices which can still be flashed with tuya-convert, so definitely grab these quick if thats what youre looking for.

I used one on my washing machine and set up a notification to alert me when the power dropped to zero and a load was finished. Works great! Doesnt work real well if you have too many people logged into the app tho, at most two. Super handy and no more forgotten laundry in the washer to grow moldy and stinky!

I have other top greener products and these were simple and easy to install and use. Alexa integration rating is low only because I don’t use it.

I got these for energy monitoring some appliances. My biggest gripe is that they default to off after a power outage, you have to keep an eye on it if using one on a fridge.

I bought this primarily to turn on and off pool pumps as well as monitor their energy usage. When I dove into the statistics for energy monitoring I saw my pump is using 2012 mA. That’s 2.012 amps. Volts is 121.3. We know that V*A=Watts. 2.012*121.3 is 245.14 watts. Watts on the app says 146.4. (See pic) So, one of these values is incorrect. I contacted the manufacturer and they said “Currently something is wrong with the calculations, we are working on a solution. I apologize fir the confusion” It took them 2 days to even respond. I have no idea if the kWh is correct since I’m not sure if is based off of watts or volts*amps. I don’t know if any of the numbers are correct since the math says they can’t all be correct. As for the on off functionality it works pretty well. I can control it from my phone. It’s really unfortunate that the energy monitoring does not work though since that’s half the reason I bought it. I can turn my pumps on and off from anywhere though.

The device has the same exact model number as the earlier flashable devices. I believe it still utilizes the ESP8266 but has the new Tuya firmware. Works Ok as a Tuya device.

I got these primarily because they were listed as being able to measure power consumption. This feature is getting harder and harder to find in smart plugs and many reviews for other products that are supposed to measure power usage report that the feature has been removed in newer models. I can verify that the power monitoring does work on these. I like to know how much power is being used (aka how much an appliance is costing me to run) and it also helped my identify a freezer that was going out. I noticed a big spike in the power utilization on the freezer and that the temps werent as low as normal. After ensuring that the thermostat wasnt covered in ice, the door was still sealing, etc, its my guess that the compressor was on its way out. Very happy to have caught it early rather than when I opened the door and had a freezer full of spoiled food.

Awesome item. I got these mainly for their power monitoring capabilities. Accuracy is pretty close to my Kill-A-Watt. I was able to set these up with the app on my android phone pretty easily. Cant beat them for the price of $10/each. Bonus that the company appears to be based in the USA (Irvine, CA). --My only issue with adding these devices to the android app was the lack of feedback when it fails. I was entering the wrong wifi password and the app would just eventually count to 100% and fail. Would be nice to have displayed why and/or where in the process it failed. --I decided to test these against my Kill-a-Watt p4450 monitor. Measured voltage was the same most of the time as my Kill-a-Watt (within .4 volts on 120 volt line otherwise, probably due to the syncing delay with the app servers). I used a small load of a 24 watt incandescent bulb. Both monitors matched at 200 milliamps, although the TOPGREENER would frequently bounce up to 412 milliamps for a split second. The power reading in watts would, however, hold constant at about 24. Im not really sure what that is about but overall Id say it is pretty accurate. --Power usage of the device itself seems to be about .5 -.6 watts when the plug is off and about 1 - 1.2 watts when on. Seems very reasonable to me. On a side note: it would be nice if TOPGREENER would produce a version of this focused on the power monitoring aspect (mainly without the on/off relay).

Wi-Fi enabled square mini smart plug-in with energy monitoring capability. Enables remote control of your appliance through the TOPGREENER app. Monitor and control use of your appliances from your smart device. Also compatible with the Tuya and Smart Life apps.
