So, I purchased this bag in advance of a trip that I had scheduled a few months later. When I finally pulled the bag out to use it, one of the clips wouldnt lock. With the 30-day Amazon return policy having expired, I thought No problem. They have a lifetime warranty. I will just have it fixed, right? Unfortunately wrong. I contacted TravelPro which directed me to the nearest repair center. The day after I dropped it off, the repair center called to say that TravelPro doesnt have the part in stock (what?) and, therefore, it is NOT under warranty (again, what??). They would be happy to fix it, but their clip will not match and it will cost me $48!!! Words of wisdom. Get this bag out when you receive it and give it a fine-tooth combing but, more importantly, do NOT be fooled by the so called warranty. The fact that they dont even have those clips in stock (probably an item that costs less than a dollar), means they likely dont have many parts in stock. And why wont TravelPro pay for the repair?? UPDATE: TravelPro has since stopped taking phone calls for customer support. Everything is email or live chat, to which they dont respond to either.

Airlines destroyed my Eddie Bauer garment bag, had to find a replacement. This bag is very large, which I like and needed. Unfortunately the centerfold is rigid and protrudes which reduces the amount of usable space. I could fit twice as much in the smaller Eddie Bauer bag (its discontinued). This bag was not inexpensive but I should have gone up in price, and bought the TUMi instead, yes its twice the price but it would better suit my needs. That is the reason for my value for money rating. Dont get me wrong its a very well made product they layout is not favorable for my needs.

    Greater than one week

Great bag for storing garments, lots of room and well made---But the wheel system is undesirable; not having it be on all angle rollers, like spinner luggage is very annoying. Fix that and its a great bag.

I definitely didn’t look at the picture close enough. Finding a full size garment bag is not easy these days. The bag arrived in a timely manner but when I took it out of the box, accidentally dropped it on my foot. It was unusually heavy and one of the “feet” on the bottom hurt my foot. Then I noticed it only had two wheels. I returned it immediately. Otherwise, it would have been a Greta bag for my purposes.

This is a top notch folding bag that has great features and seems quite durable. I have an old Skyway bag and this is better in a number of ways. The folding form is great for holding a couple of suits and a weeks worth of dress shirts. The hanger grip is a gator-tooth design that easily latches down on metal hangers once youre done loading the suitcase. All internal pockets are either made of a clear, soft (but durable) plastic or are an open-mesh design. You can always see into each pocket and dont have to guess where your belt is versus your dress socks. I suppose the plastic will be the part that somehow fails in 10 years since it will somehow age/crack. But when its brand new, its great! The exterior appears to be very durable. The handle has a soft, grippy feel which is great when youre lugging this around. The extending arm has multiple stop-clicks so you can have it long enough for a child or for a 6+ foot adult (no stooping!!!). Even though the extending arm trigger is on the top, it is inset into the handle so you can push the suitcase and dont have to worry about retracting the arm. That is a heck of an improvement over my skyway which can only be pulled because you depress the button when you try to push it in front of you and the arm retracts. The zippers are great in a couple of ways. First, the actual zipper pulls are big and appear to be quite heavy duty. In my experience, zipper pulls are the first thing to fail on a piece of luggage as it gets abused through an airport system. So you want those to be strong. Next, the zipper teeth are large/oversized. This means they unzip/zip very easily AND they are going to be really tough to destroy. The rubberized wheels are nice because they dont skip around from side to side. Theyre all the way to the edges which helps avoid any imbalance where the suitcase starts to rock from side to side. The wheels do not retract but there are feet on the bottom of the suitcase so you can set it up right and it stays in place. There is a hard plastic skid that makes going up stairs a breeze- just drag it behind you and the skid takes all the abuse. This suitcase features a built-in TSA-approved combo-lock. You can easily set the code to any 3-digit value of your choosing. It works by seizing onto the two zipper pulls and holding them in place so that the suitcase cant be opened. What would I change? The grip handle on the underside of the suitcase doesnt have finger slots big enough for the hands of a large man such as myself. It needs an extra quarter of an inch. I can squeeze my fingers in but they dont just slide in easily like they should. Maybe this will loosen up over time. Id probably buy this in another color (if its even sold that way) just because black suitcases are so hard to differentiate on the pick-up belt at the airport. My Skyway is maroon and that is still tasteful for business travel but much easier to spot when it comes down the chute. The suitcase is about an inch thicker than I expected. It is probably 2 inches thicker than my Skyway folding case. Still, it should be fine at the airport.

I had a TravelPro suitcase for years. I loved the brand. Even. After purchasing another TP suitcase, where the handle broke, I went ahead and purchased this garment bag. The zipper was tough to open and close, and on the first plane use with this bag, the zipper broke completely. I had to use a strap to get the bag home. I can no longer recommend TravelPro luggage as the quality has become subpar.

My fiance travels quite a bit for work and some work trips require dress pants and shirts. His old garment bag was well loved and worn, so when it was time for a replacement he wanted to make sure he had a quality bag. He doesnt like cheap and I didnt want to spend a fortune on an overpriced designer bag, so this was perfect. Good quality, great price. Its a win win.

This is a high-quality, durable, sturdy bag. I love to bring my clothes on hangers so all I have to do to unpack is pull my clothes out of the bag and hang them in the closet. I’ve been traveling that way for years, but regular suitcases will wrinkle the bottom of the clothes. Not so with this bag. The bag is made for packing with hangers. The hanger items stay in place and there is ample room for them to fold properly so no wrinkles. The bag also has multiple inside clear or mesh compartments for packing items you can’t hang. The bag has two wheels that roll smoothly. I wish the bag had four wheels because it would be easier for me, but it does tilt in such a way that the weight is distributed well, and doesn’t stress my back. I plan to use this bag for my next international trip.

Go large and in charge. The Platinum Elite 50" rolling garment bag accommodates several hanging garments with its larger interior and a padded roll bar to guard against wrinkles. Multiple interior pockets accommodate folded clothing, undergarments, accessories and more, while a large exterior pocket and smaller zippered pocket provide ample room for a computer, tablet or other onboard essentials. The ideal rolling garment bag for medium and longer trips, this stylish beauty is made from premium fabrics with leather trim and a chrome zipper. Integrated lock allows TSA authorities to safely unlock and lock suitcase for inspection when needed (default lock code is 0-0-0 to open). Even with its generous size, mobility is easy on two smooth-gliding wheels with the patented, adjustable PowerScope extension handle that minimizes wobble and adjusts to multiple heights. Backed by Travelpro built for a lifetime limited warranty with our trusted companion promise which covers the cost of repair for damage from airline or other common carrier for 1 year.
