Greater than one weekI have had this product since 2018. I have used it on a number of devices over the years. Having bought a new laptop, I needed help with getting the product to work correctly on it. It seemed that no matter what I tried, it would not work. Then I emailed tech support at vidbox.company. They responded quickly and gave me numerous options to fix the connection issues. It all worked well, just have a minor tracking issue left, due to the new laptop using an AMD Athlon Gold processor. The issue is minor. I learned that this processor does not do well with high demand programs. This product, which does work quite well, works best with an Intel processor.

> 3 dayWell made and was simple to connect to computer and VCR. Operations were tricky and I believe if the company had video instructions on their website would help the consumer to use their product to its fullest. I will have to say, I believe I have actually managed to rescue two priceless family VHS videos by converting them to DVD. Fortunately a friend had a VCR I was able to borrow to make this transfer. Honestech VHS to DVD was worth the cost. The final transfer to DVD played right away on my DVD player. Unfortunately I wasnt able to use their Editing option as it either didnt work or I just couldnt figure it out. The Easy Wizard Mode is very basic so I stuck with that.

> 3 dayI bought this for my mom for Christmas. I saw a fella using it at work, he showed me the features and knew it was the perfect thing. It converts anything youve recorded into digital format. The ultimate security for those old Christmas and vacation videos long forgotten in a drawer.

> 3 dayI think this product would have been great except I have a camcorder that needed a different cable and the cable that was provided doesnt work if you only have one input from the camcorder. I was either able to get sound or video but not both.

> 3 dayThe device works very well for recording old VHS tapes. The product saved me a lot of time and money! The instruction manual would be greatly improved if more detail was included with respect to selecting the appropriate settings when using the setup wizard. I think novice users may find it difficult to follow.

> 3 dayThis product has worked perfectly for the purpose for which I purchased it, that being to transfer years and very many hours of vacation and family video tapes to DVD. The Easy Wizard Mode is the method I use as it is just that,...Easy! The device is easy to set up, instructions are easy to understand and easy to follow. Although the device has numerous other features, I have not had a need to utilize any of them at this time. Thus far I am very pleased with this product.

> 3 dayWe love this product. We had dozens of cassette recordings, years of family stuff, all had been loaded in a dusty cardboard box... for who ever looks at cassettes anymore??? This product saved our family memories, converted them to DVD, where we now burn copies onto DVDs and share those family adventures with our grown kids. Example, our kids were little at their ballgames or birthday parties or talent shows or... and we got them on those old cassette videos. Problem is though we taped a lot of the game/party... way too much. Using this product, we found it easy to clip our old videos, cutting out the parts that no one will ever want to watch, then we merged our clips into a smooth DVD file, titling and dating each one simply by naming each file uniquely. This project is time consuming, dont think this job is going to be done in one day or two shifts. If you have a 45 minute VHS cassette, itll take 45 minutes to convert it to DVD, then, depending on how many clips you cut, add another 45 minutes to realizing your finished DVD product. The few questions I had were quickly answered when I called Honestech for help. Wife, kids and I love it.

> 3 dayI purchased this kit (VHStoDVD 8.0 Deluxe) awhile back during a Gold Box Lightning Deal sale, but Im just now getting around to using it. The software was easy to install and has been very easy to use (Im just using the basic video recording function). Hookup was simple too, just connect the cables to the box and to the video player. You get some cables with this kit - but Im using the S-Video input and had to supply my own cable for that. The digital videos this software creates is more than adequate for my needs. The finished files are in MPG format (think its MPEG-1) which are pretty huge, a one hour video comes out to be a 3GB+ file. The video resolution of the files Im getting is 480P (720x480). I could convert them to MP4, but the media player I have plays the MPG files fine. Im using a pretty heavy-duty computer (i7 w/12GB running Win7Pro) to run this software. Like I said, this kit works for me. Im happy with my purchase.
