Has worked without a flaw for almost a year now and has been the best investment I have made for my computer. Bought the 1 gig version and I no longer have to bother with USB sticks to store photos and music. No more range anxiety! Installed this in a Dell XPS 13 9360 (I think it is) using Macrium Reflect and Aomei Partition Magic to adjust partitions afterwards - both free. I needed a USB adapter cable to set up the drive initially (some kind of way) for the drive to be recognized by the laptop first. Im not a computer expert. Just Goog it.

It’s definitely worth the price. It’s easy to install. Storage capacity is good. I use it for gaming. And it gets the job done.

Installed on an aging Gigabyte z170xp motherboard for dedicated gaming as it only has a single M.2 drive. After formatting in W10, I went straight to installing all the goods from Game Pass. Solid performance and trusting it’ll last long as I decided to make minor upgrades to my system (2016) than do a new build.

Excelente Disco Solido. Muy rápido, instale Windows 10 Pro en cuestión de un minuto talvez. Me tarde más en contestar las opciones al ir configurando que en lo que fue la propia instalación. Definitivamente excelente performance.

Great hard drive, easy to install and even faster than regular SSD. Loaded quickly. One unforeseen minor issue for me was that while the M.2 is installed, I could no longer boot from the SSD. I was intending to dual boot, using separate HD for each OS (Windows and Ubuntu). This issue probably isnt restricted to this M.2 but to all of them.

Paid $105 each at the time. My laptop has two nvme 3.0x4 and one sata 2.5mm ssd. Making the sn550 1tb options the ideal choice for me since the price is good enough and the read/write speed at 2400/1900. I installed them and they work no problem, absolutely none. The one on the top in picture replaced an oem Samsung 960 128gb nvme which came with the laptop. The laptop itself came with screws already installed so I wasnt short on anything. Installed windows 10 pro and laptop drivers and applications/downloads on the one below in photo. The one on top has games on it only. The sata ssd is also a western digital drive, it is a wd green 240gb for work and labs with differrnt OSes and compatible apps installed. The specs for the laptop are 16gb ram, 8750h i7 6 core 12 thread cpu and avgtx 1060 powering a 144hz Ips display. I also got the western digital software that reads all the drives properly, accurately giving temperature and wear readouts etc. Im set for a very very long time with this machine as it does a bit of everything extremely well. Heavy apps like handbrake, photoshop, linux machine, gaming at above 60fps. The drives work so far and Ive not found any problems with them. My only qualm is that they didnt come in a 2tb format else I would have 4tb nvme instead of 2tb.

Put NVMe power at the heart of your PC for lightning-fast, ultra-responsive performance. The WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD can deliver over 4 times the speed of our best SATA SSDs. Whether you"re working, creating, casual gaming or processing large amounts of data, take advantage of this powerful internal drive"s high speeds to do more, Faster. Available in capacities up to 1TB in an affordable M.2 2280 form factor, there"s no time Like now to make the change to NVMe. | 1gb = 1 billion bytes and 1TB = one trillion bytes. Actual user capacity may be less, depending on operating environment.
