I switched from PC to Mac about seven years ago and didnt look back ... until now.

I received the laptop in great condition and it performs great. HOWEVER, a few months after receiving it, it started making a beeping sound whenever the power cord or laptop was moved. I have to use it at my desk because if I use it in bed and I move even slightly, it beeps! The beeping eventually became CONSTANT and at the SLIGHTEST movement. All of the research I found says that the laptop is going in and out of charging, hence the beeping, and kept pointing to the issue being the charge port. After deciding that its a problem that I cant fix, that I cant afford to replace the laptop right now, and realized that I am long outside of the return window, I just resigned to having to hear this CONSTANT ANNOYING beeping anytime my laptop moved.

Less than 6 months old and the laptop continues to shutdown on its own. Even when the battery has a high charge it will not startup until it is plugged in for charging. This behaviour has been going on for over a month. All of the normal correction suggestions made by Acer and the Acer community have not corrected the problem.

So i thought swift is supposed to be a better model comparing acer aspire. However the case is exactly the same. It is still not metallic. For a 900 dollar laptop, this case makes it look pretty cheap. It is using ryzen so speed is ok. But i worry that heat might be a problem. Hope it lasts longer than 2 years

4.5 stars. Screen is plenty bright for indoors. I sometimes have to turn the brightness down. My only quibbles are I wish the speakers were louder and on occasion the screen turns black for a split second for no reason. Not sure whats causing that. But otherwise its great.

The laptop does not work properly. After turning it on, it suddenly turns off. The battery is not the problem. There is something in the system. Tech support fixed it on Oct 2021, but now it is not working properly.

Small , thin and very light.

For the light weight and thin contour of the ACER machine you sacrifice a built-in DVD and with very few USB outlets. Fortunately one of them is a USB3 and with a USB3 hub, all you really lose is a little desk space. So far so good. This little machine works noticeably faster than my previous one.
