I can’t do without this tool. No more running back to the shed for scissors or trowel. I carry this soil knife in a gardening apron and use it constantly. Need to cut twine or open a bag of mulch? Reach for the soil knife. Have a piece of grass rooted right next to a tomato plant? Use the soil knife to surgically remove it without damaging the tomato. Planting seeds or small seedlings? Use the soil knife to make a small opening, at the perfect depth, and drop it in. The soil knife has inches marked on the blade for easy measuring.

The serrated edge is so sharp as to be dangerous! Be careful!

Im always looking for a good, cheap trowel for use in the flower beds and around the yard. When I saw the A.M. Leonard Deluxe Soil Knife in one of the local nurseries, I gave up on cheap and ordered it. I only wish I had ordered the holster too.

These are so great for planting bulbs, planting, digging up or transplanting perennials and slicing through root balls when planting anything containerized. Orange handles help keep them from getting lost. Love the serrated edge and sturdy construction. I cant live without this tool. These were a good value for the money as well. AM Leonard is a great brand too.

Absolutely love this. Use it for many things in the yard. Very strong, very sturdy. Perfect size for me. The serrated edge on one side is a great feature. I can slice through heavy turf grass. Also has markings on the blade that will be useful when planting bulbs. So strong and well-made, I doubt it will ever bend or break. And because the handle is bright orange, it is easy to find if I lay it down. It is definitely my go-to tool and couldn’t live without it!
