I am a person that does not have a lot of hand strength and this is a tool that makes the heavier garden jobs possible for me. Splitting hard to divide plants got a whole lot easier. Highly recommend.

Great garden knife; best Ive ever used. Incredibly tough, good handle grip, sharp, holds an edge, and does all the jobs needed. Ive divided tough rhizome plants, cut out invasive tree roots, and many more tasks. Cleans up with a spray of water and resists rust. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommend!

Chose this soil knife due to its thick handle & strong blade. Had the opportunity to try one out & it was so easy to use. The one I tried out had been used daily for a long time & still going strong.

It would have been a great perfect soil knife if it had a v cut in the tip of the knife!!!! Very disappointing. Everything else was just fine.

What sold me was the molded handle, as I have had bolts come loose on other handles. Very easy to use.

I bought this because I have a lot of weeding to do, from simple to obnoxious vines with lots of roots. This has made the job much easier. Pulls shallow roots up with each easy, great for cutting through soil and roots. Also use it for a little digging and cutting open soil bags.

I happened to get to use the the Japanese version of this knife and while it didnt break, it felt like if I really tested it, it might. With this knife (so far), I think I would break my wrist before break this knife. I had a cheaper version of this and I broke it after one day of use.

Works well for my wife....smaller hands. Handle is too short for me to use comfortably.

After reading many reviews, I took a chance and ordered this last year. Its very sharp--I use it ALL the time, and love it! I dig, cut small branches, cut old weed fabric out of the garden as I plant new plants/flowers, etc. (By the way, that weed fabric is SO HARD to cut. Be careful if youre planning to use that! Im on the fence about it. It did help me kill a zillion old weeds without chemicals.) Anyway, this tool is highly recommended!
