AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Be careful, I had to return a version of this because I eagerly clicked to buy the little icon for Adorama - even though its posting on the 5950x, its selling the 3950x.

I decided to max out my Socket AM4 workstation (mostly for JavaScript work on Linux) now that prices are dropping rather than wait for the first generation of AM5 hardware to come out.

This is a great processor but my experience was the first processor was DOA. Returned to Amazon and second processor worked. This CPU runs hot I would recommend an AIO at least 240mm. I run an EVGA CL24 and replaced the fans w/ Cooler Master 240mm ARGB and my temps under load never peak past 75 when gaming.

Hated to pay the surcharge but it is a fantastic CPU. Has worked very well. Excellent speed and the two M.2 drives in my motherboard have unimaginably fast response.

Its price, what else could you ask, but of course that will fluctuate here and there. It got to me, it works, what more could you ask for?

Its an amazing beast. So fast.

A complete monster. You need a beast of a cooler to handle this CPU.
