> 24 hourBest fire starter ever. Got tired of overpaying for long stem butane lighters, so I bought this, works great, lights up my cedar bark shavings on first or second stroke.

> 24 hourThis thing really sparks. It is incredibly durable, including holding up to a metal file, and a big knife. Sparks every time. Works great with dryer lint.

> 24 hourIts large and in charge! This thing is nice, and does what it was designed to do. If your super worried about ounces, I would still get it. Going without a nice fire is not fun.

> 24 hourThe only downside is that this thing is heavy. But in every other aspect, a large ferro rod is superior. Longer sparking stroke, more sparks, easier to hold, durable. You could probably hacksaw this in half and have two nicely functional rods. Would buy again if I lost it.

> 24 hourAfter so many scam ferro rods on Amazon, I was pleasantly surprised when I got this delivered. Its actually about 7 long and stout. It delivers a good shower of sparks and easily started a flame in shaved pine tinder. I thought at first that the lack of a handle would be an issue but the rod is substantial enough that it wasnt.
