Corel Painter Essentials 5 Digital Art Suite for PC and Mac (Old Version)

Got this with my new tablet and was looking forward to giving it a go. Unfortunately the colours are all wrong on my main monitor. The canvas is always a pale yellow though it insists that it is in fact white. Switching to a secondary monitor fixes the issue after a moment but its not an issue with the main monitors colour settings as white appears fine in other programs. Furthermore the yellow remains after moving over to the other monitor until after the window-drag has been released. If I had to guess I would say somewhere in the software someone thought they would try to colour correct for the monitor and got it wrong.

It isnt that great for igital art, not a lot of brushes but its ideal for photo editing

I have been using Corel Painter Essentials 5 to turn photos of our family, pets and places of interest around our local community into fun and interesting pieces of art now hanging on our walls (thanks to both PictureItOnCanvas and CanvasPeople... I use whichever service has the best sale going on at any one time).

Not a lot pot experience with program for comprehensive review. Offers many painting options and features. Im looking forward to learning.

Works fine with Windows 10, but not so much with Mac (Sierra OS.) Lots of lag with the MacBook (lines draw themselves after the stylus is lifted from the tablet.) Will likely look for something else to use with Mac.

Contrary to earlier comments; this windows 8 version DOES WORK with windows 10. It installed with no problem, only thing it didnt do that it didnt create a shortcut, so I had to go to Program Files [x86] and launch it from there [or create a desktop shortcut from there] [ I pinned it to the taskbar.] I also installed the hotfix update. Good program for the price.

Couldnt get it to load

My son loves all the options and layers in this program! for the price it has a ton of features. I did recommend to my son after reading reviews that he not opt to install any adware when installing this. so far so good, and he loves it.

The product is good, but the customer service from Corel is terrible. Strongly recommend looking for a different product for your needs. Amazon sells many different products to take care of needs. Shop around, dont spend your hard earned money on this product. You will need customer service and Corel currently policy is focused on sales, not retaining customers.
