> 3 dayWill not work with my daughters drawing huion tablet. Said it would but it does not. When she draws there is a really long lag . It is impossible. I am sad we wasted our money . Don’t buy. I can’t return cause we waited to open it until her birthday and now the window is closed.

Greater than one weekThis is a great starting point if you want to see what you can do and if you really want to put effort into art.

> 3 dayFor the Price, you get more than enough features to learn Digital art, I highly recommend a drawing tablet with it.

> 3 dayGot this with my new tablet and was looking forward to giving it a go. Unfortunately the colours are all wrong on my main monitor. The canvas is always a pale yellow though it insists that it is in fact white. Switching to a secondary monitor fixes the issue after a moment but its not an issue with the main monitors colour settings as white appears fine in other programs. Furthermore the yellow remains after moving over to the other monitor until after the window-drag has been released. If I had to guess I would say somewhere in the software someone thought they would try to colour correct for the monitor and got it wrong.

> 3 dayPainter Essentials 5 is a drawing and painting program thats designed to simulate the effects of textured paper and brushes, so you can produce realistic art. There are a few good, unique things about it, but theres also a few issues I encountered. Just so you know, Im a Photoshop Elements gal. Ive used PSE for all my website graphics, as well as photographs and hobby art. Thats what Im used to, and thats what I compared PE5 to.

Greater than one weekI have only used the application a dozen times, several for personal projects. its very different that I expected. I did not know I would be forced to have a Graphics Tablet w/ Stylus to use this program to its fullest extent. I wish my old Wacom Intuos USB tablet still worked. I grew up on Painter. I remember when it was owned by Fractal Design, and it was an awesome digital paint program for the Mac. I am however happy the program is still a decent cost. Unlike Photoshop which is beyond reach for average digital artists. $30 for Painter Essentials 5 is an excellent deal. I find it more powerful on some aspects and other aspects seem to be lacking. If I am ever able to afford a new Graphics Tablet, I would definitely use this program more.
