> 3 dayThis is the most solid-feeling solder sucker in the shop. I bought one for one of our techs and ended up having to buy one for everyone else because they wanted to be cool, too. In any case, the soft silicone tip allows you to get right up on the area you need to remove solder. As others have said, solder ends up clogging the tip a bit, and occasionally youll need to stop and clean it out, and sometimes dismantle the sucker to kinda deep-clean it. But all the solder suckers Ive ever used also need this sort of attention. The one complaint is that the spring inside is very stiff, so youll need to really have a good grip on the thing (which is smaller than other solder suckers) in order to correctly depress the plunger. One final note: do not use this solder sucker with chip quik-type products, as it will really get stuck in the metal part of the nozzle and require some time-consuming cleaning.
