Greater than one weekA really nice bit! Leaves a very good finish, no splintering or chipping. I used this on the edge of kitchen cabinet doors for my daughters kitchen, so it had to look nice. Saved me a lot of time sanding! Worth the money!

> 3 dayMy current project is making wooden cabinet pulls which has the softened edge or roundover. I have a set of Ryobi router bits from HomeDepot, and despite sharpening the bit, I was having significant burning and chipout (to be fair, I paid a set of 15 Ryobi bits for ~$70). This Freud Quadra bit is made in Italy, and slightly larger diameter than the equivalent Ryobi bit (note the larger diameter bearing on Freud bit also). The Freud bit does cut with minimal burning on the surface of wood (mahogany and walnut), however, I did manage to cause a similar chipout with the Freud bit. If I need roundover on a few pieces, the Ryobi bit would have been ok, but more than that hand-sanding the tight spots to remove the burning is too time-consuming. Its not clear two extra blades are advantageous for this application though. I hope the bit will stay sharp. Please keep in mind that this review is from a beginner woodworker, YMMV.

> 3 dayI have a whole lot of various brand router bits (inclg standard Freud) and these are the best. Ive bought a number of different sizes of these, esp. the larger ones and they cut great. Smooth, clean, quiet(er) cuts.

Greater than one weekThis is the first quadra cut bit I have used. I hoped this would be a good choice for cutting a 3/4 inch profile in solid cherry. The cut was done in one pass, with a 2 1/4 hp router, at a higher feed rate than I expected. The finish was smooth. No burn, and no need to sand. This is a great bit.

Improving My Home
> 3 dayI made a wooden shelf and wanted 3 edges to duplicate the edge that is on the window sills in my house. This Freud router bit is exactly what the job called for and the result was correct. A less expensive bit would not have been as precise and clean-cut.
