> 3 dayThis tape is real gaffer tape, not just a tricked up duct tape as most are. It adheres well, it tears evenly and when youre removing it, it releases smoothly without tearing. What more can you want?

> 3 dayI bought this to attach a dowel to a vinyl banner, and it is holding up well. I’ve very satisfied with this tape, and will be using it for other applications around the house. I even purchased an additional roll in another color because I liked the first purchase. It’s a good product.

Greater than one weekMy first gaffe tape purchase. After reading all the reviews, I thought this was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, it hasnt worked as well for me. Its not the strongest tape as I thought gaffe tape was supposed to be. Also, it didnt adhere as well as its advertised to, but that is my experience. Maybe itll work better in different conditions or on different materials? I couldnt secure a very lightweight light to a C stand pole with it. The tape is very lightweight, so maybe it isnt as heavy duty as I thought it would be. It comes off very easily, so that could be a plus, but for my application it wasnt. All in all, I guess its ok. Im going to look for something stronger and maybe use this for blocking marks.

> 3 dayI used this to facilitate rigging connection protection on the spreaders of my sailboat mast. I have not attempted to remove it yet so I cannot attest to removal, but it seems to adhere to clean aluminum just fine. I will update when I have more information. It shipped rapidly, the tape is of high quality, and it does what it is supposed to in context with the use I had for it, that of ensuring that the rigging wires of my sailboat stay put in the ends of the mast spreaders. I used boots to hold the wires, and this tape keeps those boots closed. I have seen masts where people used the tape alone to hold the wires, but I have not attempted that because I did not like the appearance of such efforts. To each his own I guess. This tape will likely enable that operation in as functional a way as using the boots first and just taping the boots in place..

> 3 dayTan color is good. Taping down electrical wires going across to the center island. Great, dont kick them around! Black Gaffer is good, but not to match golden oak parquet.

> 3 dayI didn’t think I could get so excited about TAPE. But here we are… we installed a dash cam in our Toyota RAV4 and I needed to tape down the wires that were getting in the way. So originally, I used black duct tape but it looked so terrible and I hated looking at it every time I got in the car. Enter Gaffer Tape?! I didn’t even know such thing existed until Amazon. Worked like a charm, matte black, super easy and malleable to use, doesn’t leave a sticky residue when you peel off, and just plain awesome. Now everything is taped down and tucked away and I couldn’t be more happy. This tape is staying in my toolbox permanently. Loveee it!

> 3 dayA few months back I was complaining about the mess the duct tape we were using was making on our hot machinery as it melted, and the residue it was leaving when people used it to tape down wires and such. An experienced maintenance guy told me to try gaffers tape. So I did, and Im nigh evangelical now: Avoid using duct tape for anything that gets hot (duct tape melts and gets gross), or anything you dont want a sticky residue on later (I dont have time to goo-gone every darn thing.) Gaffers tape stays put better, has equivalent tensile strength, tears off more neatly, doesnt melt with heat, and isnt shiny (well, its used for taping down wires and taping hot things in place on movie/theater sets; you dont want it to be shiny, you want it to be subtle.) Im not in theater or movies, but it works awesome for everything I need it to do also, and I love how it doesnt leave a mess or melt. I cant think of anything duct tape does better except tape stuff up so you can throw it away. Well, and duct tape *is* cheaper, if you arent the one cleaning up after it or reapplying it. You want to avoid any gaffer tape that looks like its made from paper, is shiny, or is made in China; theyre phony, and will melt, burn, or otherwise not be up to scratch. Im sure there are many great brands that are good, but this one is what I found first, it worked very well, and Ill be buying more of it. I recommend you buy a roll and see how it works for you.

Definitely dot-dot-dot Useful
> 3 dayThis is the first roll of gaffer tape Ive ever purchased so I cant make comparisons to any other brands, but I can say that I dont imagine another brand could be better. I needed this tape to do a couple last-minute gigs running sound for a band who were bringing their own PA to venues that didnt have their own. With a combination of the bands and my own equipment we ran 4 drum mics, 3 vocal mics, bass and guitar amp mics, and a keyboard direct out along with 3 wedge monitors and 2 mains speakers, and used the gaffer tape to keep things relatively clean and held in place so no one tripped over anything on the dinky stages. The tape did its job superbly, nothing got shifted around during the shows, and we were able to keep the cables out of the bands way. Even though the tape held very securely to the wood and linoleum surfaces the cables were run across it lifted off easily, and most importantly left no gunk on my mic cables or on the floor, and even on a wooden end table in a little alcove by the stage where I had set up my mix position. Also during setup it was very easy to tear off the pieces I needed and never once had to use a blade. This is high quality gaffer tape that I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone.

> 3 dayThis tape works well for my purposes. When doing events, I use this to secure various items to the floor (e.g. step and repeat rug) and wall (e.g. banner). I want a tape that is strong but doesnt leave any residue, and so far so good.
