> 3 dayFirst of all, this company really stands by its products! I had purchased this tape a few weeks earlier and was not satisfied with it because I compared it to tape I use at work and gave it 3 stars. It is a very good gaffer tape, sticks well and and comes off with no residue. Just a little thinner than what I was used to. The owner (maybe?) sent me a note saying he was going to refund my money because I was not completely satisfied and sent a roll of their heavy duty tape. The new roll is the same as what Ive used in the past. It too is a really good gaffer tape and extreme heavy duty backing. So now I have at least 2 options when getting gaf tape and can save a little depending on its use. So 5 stars for the tape and 5 stars for the company!

> 3 dayThis tape is real gaffer tape, not just a tricked up duct tape as most are. It adheres well, it tears evenly and when youre removing it, it releases smoothly without tearing. What more can you want?

Greater than one weekThe main reason I bought this was for the stickiness. Its definitely a strong tape, with all sorts of fibers like a good gapher tape, but its already pealing off my ceiling after about a week where Im using it to keep a duct closed. The problem is that if you make a strong gapher tape that isnt sticky enough it means that the inherent stregth of the tape is meaningless. Nothing I hate more than a large meaningless roll of tape. 3 stars (verging on 2), meh from me.

> 3 dayI just received this roll so I havent tested it yet but I wanted to give some initial observations Specs from WebGage Customer Care: Total thickness: 11.5 mils Adhesion to Steel: 50 oz/in Tensile Strength: 42 lb/in Matte-Finish Vinyl Coated Cloth Adhesive Type: rubber Thickness: I have used the JVCC gaffer tape (GAFF30YD/BLK230) which is 12 mil, and this is rated slightly thinner at 11.5mils. Although only a 0.5 mil difference, I think it is noticeable (perhaps different measuring standards?). The 12 mil JVCC feels closer to the thickness of electrical tape, there is a thicker spread of glue (like duct tape), its whiter, and it doesnt stretch. This Gafferpower stretches more and has a lighter spread of glue that is more gray. Sometimes thicker is better for protection, sometimes thinner is better so it wraps and grabs better. Texture: JVCC has a very unique texture that is soft and smooth, like a fine matte velvet, which looks nice and doesnt stretch. The Gafferpower is more like other gaffer tapes - mesh like duct tape and stretches. Tearing by hand: Similar, but I think due to its thickness, the JVCC tears better (sometimes jagged, threads sticking out). Need to use scissors for a nice cut. Tackiness: Similar, but JVCC has more glue. Strength: Havent tested yet. JVCC is strong. Longevity: Havent tested yet. The JVCC can leave residue on some materials over long term (e.g. plastic book covers) and the backing would slide away from the glue if theres movement; on other materials, it can be clean after months. Overall the Gafferpower still seems like good tape. EDIT: WebGage Customer Care responded to my questions about the thickness and provided specs, and after double checking, I updated my comments, giving it 5 stars. Thumbs up to WebGage!

> 3 dayThe camo color is very nice but not as sticky as other brands. Not impressed considering the price. American made though so that is a big plus!

Greater than one weekExecutive Summary: If youre looking for true professional gaffer tape (matte finish, temporary fixture like cables on a set, easy removal, no adhesive residue), this is the right stuff. If youre looking for an inexpensive alternative to consumer duct tape, this isnt it. There are a LOT of places to get the wrong stuff - your average hardware store, big boxes like Home Depot and the like. Most consumer retail will sell a 2 black tape that can be useful for assorted uses and applications - but it wont perform like actual gaffer tape. Im a professional musician. I gig several times a week. Often on stage and on a set, cables need to be secured in traffic areas, or on a keyboard stand for aesthetic appearance (nothing screams NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL like a rats nest of cabling in clear sight of the audience). And true gaffer tape is also useful for neatly taping over huge logos on the back of keyboard gear - useful on television, in church, in any non-endorsement environment. For all these uses and more, stage pros use gaffer tape - stays securing in place when you need it, removes fast and easy when its time to break down, and no horrible sticky glue residue on your precious gear. If you need the real stuff, you know who you are. This is actual gaffer tape. If you dont think you need this stuff, there are lots of other alternatives out there. But you might still want to try gaffer tape - its a quality pro product. NOTE: I bought this stuff myself for full price right here on Amazon. I didnt receive a discount, a review sample, or any other incentive to write a review (like SO many useless, bought reviews now on Amazon). In the old days, I use to rely on Amazons review for honest user feedback. Now I cant rely on it anymore. Bad bad news.

Definitely dot-dot-dot Useful
Greater than one weekThis is the first roll of gaffer tape Ive ever purchased so I cant make comparisons to any other brands, but I can say that I dont imagine another brand could be better. I needed this tape to do a couple last-minute gigs running sound for a band who were bringing their own PA to venues that didnt have their own. With a combination of the bands and my own equipment we ran 4 drum mics, 3 vocal mics, bass and guitar amp mics, and a keyboard direct out along with 3 wedge monitors and 2 mains speakers, and used the gaffer tape to keep things relatively clean and held in place so no one tripped over anything on the dinky stages. The tape did its job superbly, nothing got shifted around during the shows, and we were able to keep the cables out of the bands way. Even though the tape held very securely to the wood and linoleum surfaces the cables were run across it lifted off easily, and most importantly left no gunk on my mic cables or on the floor, and even on a wooden end table in a little alcove by the stage where I had set up my mix position. Also during setup it was very easy to tear off the pieces I needed and never once had to use a blade. This is high quality gaffer tape that I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone.

12-06-2025I bought this to use on tour. I labeled all of my cases with it. The blue color helps my cases to stand out backstage at a festival so one of my cases isn’t accidentally picked up by the crew of another act. I also used this to tape down set lists and other stuff. As far as I can tell, it works as gaffers tape should.

> 3 dayExcellent gaffer tape. Just like the black tape gafferpower offers but in a woodland camo.
