Pure food grade mineral oil at a reasonable price. Works well. This is my third time ordering this product. I am very pleased with it and highly recommend it.

I used this In combination with their conditioner to make a nice protective coating for my new cutting board. Works great!

High quality product. A little goes a long way. I engrave cutting boards and then fill the engravings with resin, sand the boards, and then treat them with this oil and they always turn out beautiful!

I liked that it was in a clear bottle and no bad scent. The cap on this bottle was messy to use; the cap was greasy after closing it. Product did not work as I expected on my not so old cutting board. Did not like that even after 3 coats it did not do a great job. and I had to reapply this oil after each washing. Will not buy this product again. I am going to now try a paste that cost a lot less.

This oil worked well for everything I put it on - wood chop sticks, some wooden spoons, even my bamboo tofu press and an old Indian flute. HOWEVER - I did not use gloves, and got it all over my hands for the twenty minutes or so that I was oiling my stuff. I cleaned it off with automotive grade hand cleaner, but by then it was too late and my hands BURNED for several days afterwards. I deduct one star for no warning to wear protective gloves when you use this stuff. It left my hands raw and sensitive for days after using it. I did not know that mineral oil could do this, but I do now! Other than that, Im happy with how it was absorbed into the wood I treated with it, and being mineral oil, should give the wood the kind of protection you expect from mineral oil. No scent, no color, very nice oil.

Product was perfect for our bamboo cutting board and our bamboo bathroom stool. The cutting board is actually used for setting hot pots on and we had it for over 10 years. (occasionally, someone does use it for its intended purpose). The bamboo bathroom stool has been in our shower for over 2 years.. We regularly apply the oil on it and it looks like brand new. We usually apply and allow to soak in and dry before using in the shower again.

I have used both the Howard Butcher Block CONDITIONER and the OIL. It is not clear how these products differ, so Ill give my experience. I have a large butcher block that I use as a kitchen island. I do not cut directly on the butcher block, but I routinely do all my prep on it. I originally used the Butcher Block CONDITIONER (with the bees wax). It worked well, but I found that it left a residue (it felt fuzzy) and that it would get stains and water spots (both from food and containers). I was sanding and re-apply the CONDITIONER every 6 months. I would typically put on 3-4 coats of the CONDITIONER after sanding. I tried the OIL to see if it would work better. And it did! Its protects the wood better and is much easier to apply. I dont get any more stains or water spots, there is no residue, and it looks great. I think the OIL seeps better into wood. With both the CONDITIONER and the OIL, I would apply then wait 20 minutes to wipe up any excess. With the OIL, there is very little excess. With the CONDITIONER, there was a lot of excess. Im very glad I switched to the OIL and havent had any issues.

I have a modest 1960s home that had beautiful wood cabinets from Nappanee Indiana. Part of this included an integrated cutting board. Id cleaned this board and sanded it down but left it until I could get oil for it. Life got in the way and this board sat for 15 years sanded and not sealed with oil. I finally bought this stuff and oh my I am impressed with how much oil it has soaked up. I am also impressed with how good this rather simple board looks. I have applied a good heavy coat and had very little excess to wipe off. Will do another tomorrow and then use the wood conditioner to maintain this and all of my neglected boards and countertops. This stuff is inexpensive and works very well. Very much worth the cost and easy to apply.
