My 14 year old InSinkErator disposal was starting to leak and make an odd noise. So it was time to replace. Decided to go with the same InSinkErator product. Which made install super easy as it used the exact same mount. Plus all the plumbing connections lined up perfectly. I think it took me longer to remove the old unit as it did to install the new one. Hopefully this one will last as long as the old one did. Time will tell.

This is the style and brand I have had for the last 3 disposers (over a 10 year period) They seem to last just over warranty and when they fail the tank will rupture making a mess under the sink. At least that is what has happened to my last 2. The only reason i keep coming back is it is so easy to change out (10 minutes and done) Overall works well when it is working but we do not use it for major food disposal...only plate scraps and soft stuff that will grind easily.

The install was easy since I was replacing an identical model, but the unit is noisy--the blades seem as if they are too loose. Also after just 6-months the unit is already rusting inside.
