> 3 dayI just received this machine two hours ago. Read directions wound a bobbin and threaded machine. It is only sewing in reverse. Its Sunday and I wanted to use it. I just bought cheap brother for my nephew. It sewed fine. I wanted a heavy duty machine. My 1950s singer was acting up.

Greater than one weekIve been through 2 brother sewing machines in 3 years and Ill be perfectly honest, they rarely functioned for more than an hour with problem after problem after problem!! Having said all that, the third times a charm when I switched to Janome I bought the HD-3000BE and I love it, this works every time I use it!!!! Its sturdy, its functional, its an awesome experience to make all my new and future quilts!! It hasnt jammed even once, the needle stays threaded, no broken needles of any type whether Im doing quilt piecing, quilting with this machine, quilt binding, or 3 to 4 layers of thick flannel it just keeps working the correct way and Im now a very happy quilter with no more hours/days wasted trying to get a bad machine to function!!! This one only costs half as much as my buttons and whistles brother!!!! Finally, I get to work and enjoy my craft again!!!! THANK YOU JANOME!!!!!!!

> 3 daySometimes automatic threader takes a few times and the door has to be lifted to shut it after threading otherwise it’s a good machine
