This sewing machine was not running when it arrived. There was no damage to the well packed machine. It simply did not run. The motor did not turn the hand wheel which is supposed to make the needle go up and down. The machine was packaged well and no damage to the outer carton was noted.

Ive used a lot of sewing machines over the years and this one is truly great. I needed something reliable and versatile while remaining in a reasonable price point, and this machine just hit all the marks for me. Watch the reviews on YouTube that compare it to similar Signer models! Happy Stitching! Oh, Im not sure what the giftable stars are all about. I gifted it to myself, and myself loved it... so I gave it 5 stars. Isnt literally anything giftable? Say giftable ten times...

This seems a great machine so far. Sews through motorcycle gear. Not computerized (Yay!). This machine is heavy but not fully metal, like I was hoping. There’s a lot of plastic involved. Bonus pack is pretty awesome. (PS - Love the black, but it shows every fingerprint.)

could not move the width/length buttons. the knob to change the stitch fell off the second I moved it and the machine made an awful clunking sound every time I changed the stitch. definitely not right. the side panel that opens up also didn’t line up correctly so it couldn’t close completely. i’m absolutely amazed this is almost $500 (and how did this pass inspection??) I was super excited for a high end machine that would be better than my brother and this had such good reviews but i’m very disappointed. it all around felt cheaply made. returned the same day:( guess i’ll be paying $1000 for a juki

So far so good, To test it I tried sewing 14 layers of Jean material no problem, now Im reupholstering my 1980 El Camino sews though the vinyl and foam also no problem. Im satisfied with this sewing machine, does what says it can do.

I had a bought a new machine years ago that had a computerized dash board that I thought I would love. I hated it. I never used most of the stitches and had to keep going back to the manual. I have sewn since i was in my teens and found i did not sew very often with it. This time I was looking for a high quality Machine with a fairly small set of stitches offered with no computerization. this machine is perfect. sews beautifully, easy to use, very good instructions. the decorative stitches are just enough to put some fun finishing touches on projects.

I was worried about the backwards issue other people were mentioning but Im happy to report my machine works perfectly. I live that it came with lots of extras, and it was such a good deal! If youre looking for a mechanical machine I definitely recommend this one.

I love this home sewing machine. Almost the strength of an industrial sewing machine.

This machine is for sure heavy duty! I am impressed with the consistent stitch. My company Janeyandnell.com makes handmade handbags. I consistently switch from cloth to leather stitching in one project. This machine will not skip a stitch or loose the stitch quality sewing from thin material to 4 layers of soft leather! I keep my thread tension slightly above 4 for consistent tight stitch. I also use universal thread for continued use with all materials. I do not need a thicker thread for leather because of the machine quality. The value for this machine is amazing! Lots of extra feet and gadgets to sew all your products or hobbies. I have a Juki for additional stitching and embroidery. Honestly use this machine more for the quality of a consistent stitch. I also rarely have to change needles. I Have used the same universal needle that came with the machine for multiple projects and thickness of material. I highly recommend this machine for all cloth and leather/purse quality projects. It is a work horse for sure!
