This product likely sat in a hot warehouse, and does not work as intentioned. It has an adhesive side, with a covering paper, and then it has a paper that you should be able to peel off the front side of it, but only one sheet out of the entire box worked like that. The rest were all stuck together

Wifes 2015 jeep wrangler unlimited always felt a bit overly rough. Not much has changed for jeeps since the 60s... ride is rough, noise levels are off the chart. Nothing about the jeep felt like a modern vehicle. After a recent drive we decided to change that. I ordered this product to try to reduce some road noise. Install was easy, cutting the product with a simple utility knife. Place and roll. The rubber under the aluminum reminds me of what you find inside door panels, holding the plastic film in place. Super sticky, forever flexible and messy... if you find it on your knees afterwards lacquer thinner will remove it. Overall install was easy, rolling all of it made my hands sore the next day. Loved the look of all the foil lined floor. I have not driven it since install, but the wife reports great improvements. Stating it feels like it rides smoother. Sounds much quieter. Shes happy, so Im happy.

I prefer this to thicker offerings because it allows for flexibility. I can double up layers in more resonant spots and do single layers in spots that don’t need much help, or where I just want heat isolation. This product is not a noise isolation product, it is a damping material for panel resonance. It will do a little but if you are looking to substantially lower road noise level, this is not the product to use. With that said, it is the best damping material per sqft and price on the market.

Work just as advertised and will definitely recommend 2 boxes and still need one more to finish my floor to have the whole truck done

I really like this product, it was super easy to lay out and trim to fit pieces where full sheets wouldnt fit. I could of taken more time and fit it a Bit better but in less than 30 minutes I did the entire floor of a 06 crew cab gmc 2500hd. I have not driven yet for noise test but just tapping on the floor you can instantly tell it will be helpful. My factory mass backing had water damage so I liked this for noise reduction and getting rid of the padding.

Used this on the inner firewall, front floorboards and then sparingly under the seats and middle row of my 2000 Excursion, 7.3L diesel. The beast is now tamed slightly and reduced my noise by 6-10 db in various driving conditions, measured using phone noise apps. There is enough to do two Excursions if you buy this kit...

I used this in conjunction with egg crate foam material. This inexpensive box went a long way for my Crosstrek project. The car had ridiculous amounts of road noise, could barely hear voices on the stereo. I good roller helps for application. You can cut this stuff to fit anywhere you can reach. I used the egg shell for harder to reach areas. I only applied the mat to metal as it was the sturdiest part of the car. If you ever have to take this stuff off its going to be one hell of a mess. Sticky tar/rubber base but the foil keeps it covered. I also made some non stick pads for the floor mats that work well. While I didnt take measurements with a db meter I did only do my four doors first and kept hearing weird car noises....I didnt do the hatchback. When I did that and added the floor mats my car was as quiet as could be. No ear fatigue from road noise and my stereo sounds great(with some other tweaks). This is subjective but I find that every toyota Ive owned has a pretty quite interior. My Crosstrek is now on the level and maybe a bit better than that. I can listen to the radio at a low volume and still hear.

Easy to apply. Works as well as higher priced butyl sound deadener. Make sure to use a roller for best results.

I have an old car from the 70’s and it has the normal rattles and such, well it did. I used this in my trunk and in my dash. I’ll be doing more of the car later. My main problem was in the dash, and that is all gone. My subs seem like they have more bass too. I’ll end up doing my doors and package tray with this and I expect to have extra, so I think it was a good purchase. I could smell it a little, but not bad. I sprayed it with some plastidip in areas that I thought might get more heat and maybe smell a little more in the summer. I’m not concerned however because once it has out gassed, it would not be an issue anyway. Really good stuff.
