I bought these for my noisy 79 Trans Am and they are great! Easy to apply and easy to cut. Drastically improved the noise level inside my car. Would definitely recommend.

I installed Kilmat in my Toyota Camry SE; which as any Toyota Camry owner can tell you the road noise is quite loud. I did the entire trunk, and all of the doors, including the inside of the skin of the door, and the door panel itself. I will say this product is fantastic at blocking noise and deadening sound vibrations. Installation is easy and definately get the rollers (espeically the small one) as they make a huge difference. My aftermarket stereo really came to life after applying Kilmat generously on the doors; the bass came to life and the nuances in the music could now be heard. The Camry is much quieter now and the doors have that quality thump when you shut them. the outside noise is now at a minimum; and you can tell you are sitting in a quiet car. The nice thing is that you do not have to blast the music to hear the nuances; which is great for my daughters ears. I found most reviews here say that there is no smell; this in my experience is completely untrue. Perhaps there may be an off-gas period that needs to happen, but the inside of my Camry smells like tar or perhaps a glue smell. However, the smell is not repulsive or strong, but definitely present; its like someone farted in the seat and you sat in the seat and got that whif.... opening the windows relieves the strength of the smell for a bit. I left the windows open today to deal with the smell; and I did the trunk a few days ago and it still smells. I have read that Kilmat is not asphalt based, which is great, but beware that after applying you may smell it for a while. To be fair, it has only been a few days since applying, so I will update this review when the smell disappears as I expect that it will. I would and will continue to purchase this product as the value of what this does for the price is great. I plan on doing my 4Runner next.

The sound difference is minimal with only a single layer applied. I chose to add a second layer at every point where the base layer met and created a seam. That gives the rigidity I expect. This product does not reduce all sound. It simply adds rigidity to the sheet metal and stops rattles and tinny sounds. Adding a layer of acoustic foam padding under the carpet is still advised if total sound reduction is your goal. As measured with a caliper, the material is just over 2mm thick. 80mil = 2.2mm, so it is as thick as advertised. I still wish it was significantly thicker... It is about half as thick as the old factory stuff I peeled out of my truck. It is worth noting that I am working on a 97 F350 pickup. A modern car has considerably thinner metal and a single layer may work better on modern cars. There is a slight asphalt smell on the material. However, I have yet to notice it once installed. It just smells like fresh pavement out of the box. A handy tip, buy a cheap wooden spatula and use that for the initial fit before using a roller. It is much easier to manipulate into folds and reduce air bubbles. My advice, add an extra box to your order and plan to add a second layer at strategic points to achieve the result you desire. Otherwise, just pay the extra money and get a thicker product. But, for the price, adding a second layer is still probably the best value.

Used this to deaden some of the noise in my 2023 Polaris Ranger XP. Easy to use and it deadened some of the sound. I would buy again.

Being the first time I have used this I didnt know what to expect. Was it going to be hard to install? Would I hear a sound improvement? I was watching videos of people installing it and they said to let it heat up in the sun. There is a point when it gets a bit to hot and it flops around and is super sticky. I was putting this in the door panels of a 2019 Honda Civic 2dr. Not a lot of room to work with and it wants to stick to every little thing it touches. Not a bad thing but just takes more care to get it in there. I did the bottom 2/3 of the doors. Now when you tap on the doors its just a thud. Overall sound from the stereo was improved. The low notes are now MUCH cleaner! The bass guitar sounds like a bass guitar and not just some humming low note. Same goes for the bass drum. Much more defined and musical. I cant say anything about noise reduction from outside the car yet because I just havent driven the car enough. So for under $50 its worth it in my opinion.

Did all 4 doors of my 2020 Taco and had 7 pieces left over out of a 36 ft box. This stuff works great. I didnt realize how much noise I was listening to until I wasnt. Very easy to apply, and it doesnt have to be perfect, and you can cut patches to fit small or irregular spaces. 3 hints: If youre not using rollers on this after you stick it on the door, youre NOT installing it right; smaller pieces are easier to deal with than large sheets; and keep this in the shade before you apply it, it will get difficult if it gets too warm.

Used these to settle down the vibration on my hood, trunk lid, etc. after I changed my OEM engine mounts to less squishy custom mounts. Highly recommend.

First time using this and was very pleased. I made sure to degrease the floor and make sure floor was dry. I liked how the sheets were in manageable sizes and this was so easy to cut when I needed to trim off pieces. I didn’t cover every inch of the floor and figured even if there are small gaps it would be better than before. Very easy to use. One box completely covered the floor of my crew cab.
