12-06-2025What more is there to say? Its Kingdom Hearts! Im unhappy that Square Enix keeps doing small projects for the series instead of working on the third game itself but this is a great prequel to the series and is filled with adorable, heart-wrenching moments Kingdom Hearts has always been known for. Worth playing so do it!

> 3 dayI didnt get to play much of the game before my brother snatched it from me. And he has had a blast. Both of us didnt start gaming until about 6 months ago, so for him to stay with one game and actually progress at a steady pace is really good. He enjoys it a lot, its easy to learn, and its really fun.

> 3 dayThis game is great! The amount of gameplay you receive from it is quite a lot(~30 hours for each POV) and it rarely ever gets boring considering theres 3 different paths to choose from, each with a different perspective and different big bosses(most of the smaller enemies are the same).

> 3 dayIts like playing the original Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2 on the PSP. That is when it comes to the graphics. Story-wise, it is much different. You play through the stories of three new characters and travel through the same worlds as in previous games. It is a lot of fun and a must have for any PSP owner.

> 3 dayOne of the best Kingdom Hearts games period. It helps connect all the worlds and will hopefully be expanded upon in Kingdom Hearts 3. Highly recommenced as it has one of the best battle systems in any RPG ever.

> 3 dayKingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep just might be the best-playing game in the entire series so far. It takes the fluid, dynamic battle system from Kingdom Hearts II and layers on top of it an ability system that is wholly borrowed from Crisis Core: FFVII. Beating up Heartless with a Keyblade has never been more pleasurable: the game just FEELS good. The overarching narrative, told through three independent-but-intertwining campaigns (shout out to Suikoden III!), offers some superb backstory for the original trilogy and creates a trio of protagonists who have compelling arcs in which you want to invest. On the downside, however, the integration of these original stories with the Disney narratives upon which theyre superimposed is just about the flimsiest in the whole series--one WANTS to care about the Disney worlds, but one has to try really, really hard to even come close. If youre even a smidge invested in the Kingdom Hearts mythos, this game is enormously rewarding (though most of your narrative payoff will come at the end of each of the campaigns). If you like a good action game with lots of fun, varied abilities, this game will please you through and through (and you can feel comfortable skipping the cutscenes). If neither of the above applies to you, you probably ought to look elsewhere.

Greater than one weekAs a PSP owner for a couple of years of now and also an avid fan of the Kingdom Hearts Series, Birth By Sleep the prequel to the Kingdom Hearts Series is a must have for any PSP owner. The graphics is just like the the first KH on the PS2 platform and I must say a very good job to the creators of Square Enix. There is no lag in game battles even though it can get intense while casting magic and creating melee attacks combined with aerial assaults to fight off the Unversed. For me I catch on details pretty quick and I analyze how things go and I must say that the game does a good job with the character voice overs. I have played the Japanese version and for the English version, I have trouble feeling the emotion of Aqua one of the main characters in Birth By Sleep. Its as if the voice over lacks feeling to what she says and as if dry when having conversations with others in each world. It can be repetative if trying to level up magic so that you can create abilities to use like Magic Haste, Hp Plus, etc, and you pretty much know when there are many enemies in an area so you can exit the location then come back for more exp points. But if you dont care about who played who, some repetative fights, and just want to smash, slash, use a keyblade, have intense times at the end, then this is a game for you. Overall I would say a 4.5/5

13-06-2025First off, im a Huge Disney, Final Fantasy & Square Enix Fan. The presentation is amazing, it looks smooth, Runs Smooth (and thats without using the Extra 16-32 bit & Color palette options) The Kingdom hearts game series has increasingly great Final Fantasy Cameos & Fun disney worlds and thats no different with Birth By Sleep. i was kinda wary of Worlds like Cinderella & Sleeping beauty when i heard they were in this (Well theyre not exactly action based disney titles) But actually theyre Jolly Good fun. If i had more time id be more descriptive, but im short on time, So, all i Can say, is This game will Grip your Heart, & Take your breath away, its definitely worth the $39.99 (& Ignore the reviewer who rated one Star, theyre biased) My Verdict: 10/10

> 3 dayI love the Kingdom Hearts games, but im a little sick of all the side games. This birth by sleep game gets pretty confusing with the story line. The graphics and the music are wonderful, so I need to give it credit for that. I just think the writers are getting off track with the story line.
