I bought this game after watching a gameplay trailer, to be honest I had great expectations of it. I thought the story would be deep and explain the origins of many unresolved matters of the KH I and II games. But it doesnt, it only confused me. The batte system is awesome though, also the item collection systems and the way you learn new abilities. But to be honest sidequests are limited, storylines are exteremly short and the plots are not as good as the past KH games. I saw them as a mediocre copy of the same storyline of KH I and II. I played only one storyline (out of three), after that I quite dumped my PSP system and put it back to my drawer, where it has remained for 4 months now. If you are a KH fan, go ahead and buy it: you will love it. But if you are just a gamer who liked the previous games and is wondering if this game would be good enough, DONT BUY IT. You will only regret spending the money.

If you are looking for a good rpg well you found a better one. Best rpg by far its a meld of a exciting story and gameplay. The kingdom hearts series have not dissapoint after playing this I got kh 1 and 2 for ps2 and I have a new rpg favorite of all time. Your missing out if you dnt play this. I heard kingdom hearts 3D dream drop distance coming out soon too for the nintendo 3ds. I dnt own one but after playing birth by sleep, I will buy one just to play that. Conclusion this game tops my list and yours too most likely!

I admit Im never very good at finishing games, but when I grabbed my existing copy to play around in the world again I noticed the crack in the case surrounding the UMD disc was so impacted that it prevented the disc from loading. So I needed another one. Birth By Sleep is one of those games in the series that goes almost TOO light on the actual cooperation between Square Enix designs and Disney characters, but remains one of the most polished in combat and options. If you want a look at how things started BEFORE Kingdom Hearts 1 happened... its a must-buy. And thankfully by this time price has gone down enough that I didnt feel bad at all for just getting a second (working) copy.

Having played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 years ago, I skipped most of the other iterations of the Kingdom Hearts series either because I didnt have the console (DS) or because the games just didnt seem to have the same appeal (Chain of Memories). Shortly before picking up my PSP I heard a lot of really great things about this game, with most reviews saying it had a good story, graphics, and an improved combat system, but a quirky camera. Having put almost 43 hours into the game, over the course of 10 days (having completed it yesterday), I can honestly say this game has been one of the most enjoyable Ive played in the last year. The game features a combat system similar to the first two Kingdom Hearts games, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The story, while a little confusing because we follow three (playable) characters, is pretty good. I only wish I had remembered more about the first Kingdom Hearts, since its a prequel to the events that take place there (although if you havent played the other games in the series youll still do fine). Im once again a little embarrassed that Im enjoying a game featuring Disney characters, but Square once again merges the different characters together very nicely. Voice acting for all characters is decent to great. As noted above, Ive put at least 42 hours into the game, completing each characters stories, and the final episode, but could easily put a dozen hours more into the game getting further completion and in the arena (which is still enjoyable, even though I dont know anyone else with a PSP). All-in-all, I give this game 5 stars across the board. Square and Disney have really hit the mark with this game.

I ordered Kingdom Hearts 3 by DealTavern. I definitely recommend buying your games from them! I will be repurchasing in due time with this seller. My product was in pristine condition, factory sealed as promised for a great low price! This video game series is my absolute favorite over any other video games out there. Im obsessed with RPGs and if you are too - get your hands on some copies of the series, you will not regret it! The graphics are phenomenal on the PSP.

Its like playing the original Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2 on the PSP. That is when it comes to the graphics. Story-wise, it is much different. You play through the stories of three new characters and travel through the same worlds as in previous games. It is a lot of fun and a must have for any PSP owner.

Without going into a lot of detail, the game is awesome and my one complaint is that I cant change the difficulty level as I should have picked a harder one then Normal which is ideal for the casual gamer. The fights are very easy for me, but thats not the games fault, after reading instructions I found out Normal is ideal for what they call the casual gamer. I disagree with that as I would say I am a casual gamer. The best way to judge for yourself is ask, have you played any of the Kingdom Hearts games and found the trash mobs easy? If yes, normal will be a breeze. Also, have you sliced through any God of War titles with ease as well? If so, same thing, dont do Normal. The game is extremely fun, the changes in game play and combat are great, I esp like the way you can get different finishing moves and graphics based on the over all way you fight /cast spells. The stories are cool, the characters are cool, the graphics are VERY nice and amazingly there is an option to install the game onto your memory card to speed up load times! Additionally, there is also a setting in the menu for graphic acceleration!!! The game suggests using the wall charger for game play in this mode but I only loose about 1 bar per hour on mine!

this game is a great RPG for any age. I was always attracted to square enix and capcom games. though i only had the first game from the kingdom hearts sequel which was kingdom hearts chain of memories, so naturally i believed that Sora would be the main character and so as Riku. but any who amazing game

This game is amazing. Great graphics and its like having my old PS2 on the go. Great graphics, music and acting. I am just getting into the meat of the story and it is giving certain answers missing from the series. If you have a PSP you must get this game. Sorry PSP Go...But if you dont have a PSP you should consider it. One of my all-time faves!

Being a long-time fan of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, I was so excited to play the first and only PSP title of the series. After all, many of us have indubitably complained of the lack of game localization in much of the Japanese RPG genre, and Square Enix made the smart decision to localize this game. It is fantastic. First off, the graphics in the this game are wonderful. By utilizing more of the battery life, this games graphics can become higher quality with 32-bit that gives the appearance of a colorful 3D storybook. All the characters faces are focused, and not just a blurring blend of pixels. The cut-scene animations are beautiful and appealing to those who appreciate a dazzling game. Second, the music is very good. I have long loved the Kingdom Hearts music scores and this one does not disappoint. Aside from the classic soundtracks like Dearly Beloved, there is a hoard of new music that fits the scenery and environment very well. There is also a minigame in the story, Ice Cream Beat, that allows players to play a rhythm game with a few of the popular KH tracks from the previous games. The story is also very interesting, and having a 3-character story makes for hours of playing from each characters perspective as they travel through the worlds at different times and meet different in-game characters. As a prequel for Kingdom Hearts, players can also see young Sora, Riku, and Kairi, as well as a few of the Organization XIII members before they became Nobodies. Birth By Sleep might be confusing to some, especially in that the true ending involves a very hard boss and the ending ties straight to the ending of KHII, which leaves the resolution unclear for KHIII to resolve (KH: Dream Drop Distance mentions the protagonists of BBS somewhat). Regardless of whether the entire story of KH can be fully comprehended, the tales in this game are quite clear and will not leave any players in confusion. My final words verdict: If you have a PSP, this is one game you must have. Even if you dont have a PSP, I encourage buying one just to enjoy the delights of Birth By Sleep. Though be warned, Birth by Sleep will ensnare you, force you to forgo sleep and play for hours to try to unlock every achievement in the game, fuse and level-up moves, and beat the very challenging final bosses.
