As a PSP owner for a couple of years of now and also an avid fan of the Kingdom Hearts Series, Birth By Sleep the prequel to the Kingdom Hearts Series is a must have for any PSP owner. The graphics is just like the the first KH on the PS2 platform and I must say a very good job to the creators of Square Enix. There is no lag in game battles even though it can get intense while casting magic and creating melee attacks combined with aerial assaults to fight off the Unversed. For me I catch on details pretty quick and I analyze how things go and I must say that the game does a good job with the character voice overs. I have played the Japanese version and for the English version, I have trouble feeling the emotion of Aqua one of the main characters in Birth By Sleep. Its as if the voice over lacks feeling to what she says and as if dry when having conversations with others in each world. It can be repetative if trying to level up magic so that you can create abilities to use like Magic Haste, Hp Plus, etc, and you pretty much know when there are many enemies in an area so you can exit the location then come back for more exp points. But if you dont care about who played who, some repetative fights, and just want to smash, slash, use a keyblade, have intense times at the end, then this is a game for you. Overall I would say a 4.5/5

Im very pleased I have this game in my hands finally cause Im a die hard Kingdom Hearts and I would wanna collect all of em even if theyre in different platforms. Now if your a Die hard fan to then. This game will fit into your collection I kinda liked the Command deck feature cause it makes customizing more easier. Im glad that the Command Deck Feature is also on Drop Dream Distance.

I am a hard core Kingdom Hearts fan. I have played all the games that have ever come out (excluding the Japanese versions and their Final Mixs). Out of all the games that have been publish through the Kingom Hearts years, I dare say that Birth By Sleep tops over all of them in performance. The battle system is the most complex yet user-friendly that has ever been implemented. One goes about the game gaining attack cards (to give them a name) that one levels up, and combines to create new different types of physical and magic attacks. As far as PSP graphics go, Birth by Sleep pushes the PSPs limit by using great cutscenes that match even the best of the console series. The story is as good as the first Kingdom Hearts if not better. The concept of having three different characters going about the same story and seeing each individual story unfold to come together as one was one I didnt feel comfortable with. That is until I pushed that side power button and had unanswered questions within the first ten minutes of the first characters story (which you get to choose by the way). It is genius and is one of the major components making this game great. If it isnt better than the first game (and I can not bring myself to a decision due to the nostalgia and love for the original) than it is as good as the first Kingdom Hearts. I would recommend this game to any Kingdom Hearts fan, and non-fan alike, who own a PSP. You will enjoy the game even if you are not familiar with the series as a whole.

This product came new in plastic, and the gameplay was just like those youtube videos you probably looked at before buying this product. The only issue I have with this is that the PSP takes a while to load up the content. Youll be in the heat of battle and switch combat modes which youll have to wait 3 or 4 seconds before you can start fighting again One feature that this game has is Install Game which takes up a lot of memory on your memory stick in order to shorten these loading times. Ive done the highest install amount and I do have to say that the amount of load time this saves is somewhat smaller, perhaps by a couple of seconds or half seconds. Overall this product matches up with the gameplay you see on the youtube videos with exception to the short loading speeds.

I recommend this game for anyone that is a KH fan! It was a little hard to get use to at first, but afterward it was great. Word to the wise though: if you have a hacked PSP, I do not encourage buying it, as it may not work. But at least you wont feel as guilty.

A great prequel to the series. At first I thought the series was kind of lame in terms of story, although the game play was fun. After extensively playing birth by sleep, I felt like the story is very in depth and the characters and their relationships (including KH 1 and 2) are fun to watch unfold. I always thought the idea of their hearts were lame and childish but now I can see a deeper meaning and how it relates more to the overall story. Maybe its my own meaning I put onto the game but nevertheless I enjoy and cant wait until the next release to fill in the pieces.

The game was delivered much quicker than expected and is in wonderful condition! No scratches or smudges on the disc and the manual came with. Best thing I’ve ever ordered on Amazon.

Probably my favorite of the series. It can be considered easy even on critical until you get to the secret bosses. Then it becomes impossible and you will not win.

He relies on brute force in combat. A kind young woman whose sense of right and wrong never wavers. Aqua"s dignified bearing belies an inner sensitivity, and she often looks after Terra and Ventus, who study with her under the same Keyblade Master. She is nimble and gifted at magic. A cheerful and likeable boy who studies with the same Keyblade Master as Terra and Aqua. For "Ven," as his friends affectionately call him, every day is a new discovery. He holds his Keyblade with a reverse grip, and fights with incredible speed.
